I tried to rewatch it several years ago - when you could only get it from shady FTP sites and traders on IRC - but stopped after the first episode because the art style looks like a coloring book colored with fat crayons. (and the pictures don't do justice, even the animations have this weird "flow" that felt unnatural)

I doubt Blu-Ray would help, but maybe I'll try again. I remember it being good as a kid.
