Unironically, yes. To a leftist these kinds of thing are just normal, occasional happenstances that you tolerate in a society. They may talk about how it's all a "symptoms of poverty and powerlessness" or not enough restrictions on guns or knives, but ultimately they just think it's normal and don't care. As long as it's not happening to them it's background noise. Why are you trying to cause a moral panic about rare stabbings when we have important issues like LGBTQ rights and COVID to talk about?
