No, it didn't work this way. Not at all. One had to be declared a Honorary Aryan (or just a German) through connections and/or special merit. About which: things like merely WWI medals and such was not enough.
And the Soviet Jewish often-atheists were usually not even interned, or processed in any way, but just shot out of hand.
