Reminds me of the UK gameshow, The Weakest Link.

Female contestants would consistently vote all the men out of the game. It happened so often it was impossible not to notice it. Eventually, even the host of the show (a woman) would call it out and mock them for resorting to such a strategy.

A similar thing happens in our political system.
