They're using what happened at the Capitol on January 6th as a pretext to identify people they deem as "participating in the spread of misinformation," which they believe is what lead to people going inside. It's hard to say what they plan on doing -- if anything -- to those people; however, it's likely that they'll use it as an excuse to create speech restrictions on the internet. Basically, they want to give their corporate friends authoritarian control on what will be considered the "truth." because as we have seen, people haven't been playing along with their make-believe and games.

I mean, they can completely ignore the fact that police removed barricades and were actively waving people inside.
They can also ignore that there's a video of police officers lined up next to the doors of the Capitol building and more-or-less stating that they were ordered to stand aside and let people in. Although, to be fair, his exact words to someone asking why people are being allowed in were, "I don't like it, but orders are orders."
I'm sure they'll also ignore the video of a BLM/Antifa leader, along with a CNN reporter, storming into the building with the rest of the people, pausing in the lobby, and celebrating; caught on tape bragging while saying: "Yeah! We did it!" Did what? Likely how they helped create the situation and incite/agitate people into going inside.
They'll probably also ignore the videos of people in black-block who were seen over in a grassy area changing into Trump/patriotic clothing.
Probably going to ignore the buses of Antifa/BLM supporters being brought in as well.
They definitely won't mention how thousands of National Guard brought in were present on that day, and for some reason, Nancy Pelosi ordered them to stay away, instead of providing extra security to ensure things were kept safe and peaceful.

Now, none of this is to excuse what took place. The people that did decide to participate did so of their own volition; however, the agenda that they're going with seems pretty transparent to anyone who's been paying attention to their mendacious actions the last several years. This is all to promote a very specific narrative to achieve their goals.
