Even when I was a child, I clearly understood that women understood themselves far less than men understood themselves. Think of the attractive female, who keeps going out with assholes time and time again, yet doesn't have a clue why they keep ending up with assholes. They ignore the clear reality, that they like assholes, and may even enjoy being mistreated by assholes on some level.
