I suggest watching this video by American Krogan which goes over some of that. It's very interesting how Mass Effect started out as humans vs aliens, where you are supposed to take the aliens side because racism. Into organic vs synthetic, where you are supposed to take the synthetic side because racism. It is a continual and ever expanding rejection of personal biological identity in favour of foreign identity.
