Running a large group or community does mean treating people differently.
You have someone who enjoys pushing boundaries? You come down harder on them (if you don't just eject them) while someone else who's normally quite reserved says something that could be interpreted in 2 ways? They get the benefit of the doubt.
The inveterate boundary-pusher then sees that as favouritism. Tough shit, the leader was right to treat them differently, because the comments came from different places and can reasonably be assumed to mean different things.
Fuck them for keeping the old kia rules which are reddit based, that's retarded.
But when you act differently you get treated differently, simple as.
