The Netherlands hasn't outlawed firearms. They are restricted. You can own guns but you cannot carry in public. Most farmers have several rifles/shotguns for hunting purposes.

But I know for certain that this Islamic specimen got his guns illegal as he couldn't graduate medical school due to his mental illness (the justice department even contacted the school with the advice to not let him graduate due to him being insane).
