I'm old enough to remember this case. They treated him like a hardened criminal with terrorist connections, despite him having no such history or connections. Clearly they were absolutely buttblasted that he had reminded the plebs that it's really not that hard to make a shitty-but-effective gun.

They wanted him to die in prison.
