The left only talks about universality when it comes time to round people up for their votes and money. Afterward, it is all about drawing increasing narrow circles. First it was with all "allies", then the "woke" then the "proletariat" then the "intelligentsia". Now in China its the 3rd generation commie party members that are hoarding power and money for themselves, that is how the system ends up. Talk is talk but the left was never for any universal system because at the end they want a subjective system of power.
