Even before his recent outbursts, looking at Dom's history going back to the beginning of the year shows him enforcing Rule 16 almost exclusively, with a few sprinkles of Rule 2 here and there, and doing so heavily. Maybe once in a while you saw him use a rule that wasn't #16 or #2.
In fact, after digging further, there is a noticeable shift in his overall behavior starting after the 10/7/23 Hamas attacks. Prior to that point, his enforcement of the rules was more "rounded" (for lack of a better word), disagreements and minor wigouts aside. It wasn't like now where he uses rule 16 to silence his personal critics, while letting obvious trolls and bad-faith participants run rampant.
And now he has been disappearing for a week or 2 at a time on top of that? Something has got to give...
Just as an aside, I can tell my prior comment to this one inspired this post. I don't put full stock into the "Dom's alts" theory either (I said as much, then), but the mere appearance of something going on is what made me pipe up.

For $200 million, I would fix Derek Smart's entire lineup of mainline games (Battlecruiser 3000AD and Universal Combat), pay him off just get started (because of his ego), and have enough money left over to remaster the original MechWarrior trilogy (that is... if they weren't stuck in legal hell), Jane's Flight Sims from the 90s, or the many MANY games that are otherwise stuck on Windows 98 or late-era DOS (Most games from the Windows XP era onward generally work today on Windows 10 with some tweaks).
You know... could it be possible (not accusing here) that these handshakes are Dom's alts because he got sick of all the Noticing™, and that he has gone rogue in an attempt to shut down the board? It would at least partially explain his last couple of schizo rants that resulted in more BS bans being levied (#FreeTheImp), as well as his extended absences from mod duties.

Serious answer: It would certainly go a long way in repairing the USA. Think about it; 50 million+ less (mostly low quality) people means less crime, lower pollution (ie trash, rats, roaches, car exhaust, power plants not driven as hard, etc), a LOT less traffic, a LOT more housing for those native born, wages would soar, and the cost of just about everything would drop like a rock because of less demand (food, electricity, gasoline, healthcare, you name it).

It's not just for text based stuff, although that is a good reason. Ideally, it should be used for all websites if at all possible, for reasons such as:
Websites going down (which is what happened with this Stone Toss comic), stuff being stealth edited (or in the case of a certain One Angry Gamer list, taken down altogether with no warning), and for another object of personal contention relating to posts here, twitter posts and/or accounts just going <poof> and being left wondering what was said because they posted a raw link and not an archive.
Finally, as an honorable mention, archives can, if timed correctly, not only be used to preserve history, but also act as evidence of what we used to have prior to clown world.

I saw a newspaper clipping from the 1950s (and I'm kicking myself for not saving it to my computer) that showed crime statistics by race, which if true, potentially paints black crime as always having been a problem.
The stat it showed was (going off of memory here) despite being 10% of the population at the time, they made up 50% of all arrests. Maybe you could put that down to pre-1960s discrimination, but after having the misfortune of witnessing what felt like hours of on the ground footage of the 2020 riots as they happened, everything is in question.

I'm saying that your recent usage of Rules 16 or 2 (but mostly 16) is not only extremely excessive, but you are using flimsier and flimsier reasons to enforce it, and it didn't used to be like that. You used to be far more even with which rules you enforced (and how you enforced them), even if I had disagreements.
I've seen plenty of Islamist activity (considering they started the conflict in the first place), both here and outside this board. But as far as National Socialists (aka nazis, aka people the left doesn't like, etc), outside of a few calls for actual genocide here and there which are easily nipped in the bud (on this board), it seems to me that you are just chasing ghosts.
