Yep, shows a 2 day ban in the logs. Technically, the logs show the ban was for rule 2, and links to the comic strip post, but the comic strip post itself was removed for rule 16. So maybe he's saying it was both rule 16 and rule 2?

I don't doubt that. If Dom had simply said "not all jews are like that" or "some people take 'noticing' too far and advocate for racial genocide, which is not ok", then his comment wouldn't have been as controversial.

But instead he accused ModsAreAIDS of wanting to personally murder him, and the only context leading up to that is the user pointed out that people are punished for noticing patterns.

Then he banned btbw simply for posting an extremely mild comic strip. I think you'd be hard pressed to argue that that comic was really deserving of a rule 16 ban.

Judging by the comments, I'd say he definitely got a bit emotional there. Of course people get in arguments on here all the time, but it is worrying to see that his personal biases appear to be influencing his modding. If he is, in fact, jewish, then that would make sense for him to be biased I suppose, but a moderator should ideally try to be impartial. After all, I thought the whole spirit of Gamergate was supposed to be calling people out for this type of behavior.

I take it you're dual booting? Though I'm by no means an expert, I would recommend testing out Linux installs on a spare laptop if you can. Dual boot can bring some of its own issues that you wouldn't encounter otherwise, particularly with boot loaders, file system types and permissions.

If you haven't already, I would recommend having a full image backup for Windows before attempting any new installs. On my laptop I used macrium reflect to backup Windows, then installed Linux Mint, and then used Clonezilla to backup the Linux install, and then I tested out restoring copies of each OS on there. Then, once I felt pretty confident with that, I backed up my desktop and set up dual boot on there, but I believe I did have to fiddle with a few settings while doing that.

I haven't tried out Windows 11 yet. Are they making people upgrade? I haven't gotten any prompt for it on my machine yet.

Damn. I've noticed there was a pattern with the types of posts Dom removed, but this might be my first time seeing him go on a paranoid rant like this. It's like he's just openly admitting that he takes these comments personally and that this isn't really about enforcing site rules.

Did he really just accuse you of wanting to kill him and his family? Is there any sort of context leading up to this? Why would he assume that?

When Helldivers 2 was released it wasn't required that you connect a PSN account to it. So a lot of people bought it through Steam, and then Sony decided later on to make PSN a requirement. PSN isn't available in a lot of countries, so people who had already put time into the game in those countries are now unable to play. Steam is offering refunds for the game because of this, but people are still pretty upset and have bombed the game with bad reviews.

True, I may just have to try out some more headsets, or other distros. I hope it's not my soundcard, because I can't swap that out as easily.

The biggest obstacle for me with Linux is actually the audio issues. For some reason it doesn't always pick up input from my mics, and I could never figure out why.

I mean I don't know who Lethn was referring to specifically, but honestly this reply seems kind of like it confirms what he said.

Also, fed

Yep, he's also admitted to creating this account for ban evasion. I'm assuming his previous account was "IHateSluts", which was banned a month ago. This account was created almost immediately after that one was banned.

That's interesting, I actually had to look that one up. I don't remember ever seeing the word Holocaust in the Bible, but I only ever read the King James version. But you're right, they do use it in the Catholic translations, specifically when instructing Abraham to offer his son Isaac as a sacrifice. The King James version replaces that term with "burnt offering".

That actually reminds me of why I think I liked Robin Williams's character in that movie. Seeing the android awkwardly try to act like a human reminds me a lot of a human who hasn't quite adapted themselves to their surrounding culture. His social ineptitude turns people off, but the fact that he's so sincere and innocent helps make up for it.

On a related note, I've never really liked the tendency for people to immediately associate the label of autism with being nerdy and socially awkward. To my knowledge, autism is not something that can be objectively measured or tested for – a doctor can't run a blood test and say, "yep, you've got the autism".

I didn't even realize that the movie was poorly received. I remember watching it because someone at my church recommended it, and I really enjoyed it. It's been a while since I've seen it, but I thought it was better than most other sci-fi movies I've seen.

What parts did you think were uncomfortable?

Anything above zero is statistically impossible because lesbians aren't real.

I already explained how he's not a victim here:

It looks like some of his victims were both white and male. The shooter also made a recording where he said, "I'm going to open fire on everyone in that hallway...I will try to hit as many people as I can.". So, that means he wasn't even targeting anyone specific. He just wanted to kill random people indiscriminately, without any thought of whether they deserved it or not.

Why did you refuse to answer my last question?

Your original comment that started this conversation off was:

Bullshit, what about everyone who drove the kid to that point?

I asked why we should feel sorry for him. Then you said:

Because he's white and was driving to such actions. If you've stepped outside in the past couple decades it's easy to see the reasons why he was suffering in such a way.

But then I asked for evidence, and you failed to provide any evidence that he was a victim or that he was enacting any sort of "justified" revenge. You confirmed you were being disingenuous here:

There will always be casualties and his actual intent doesn't even matter, narrative is all that matters and his actions are something we can use to spin such a narrative.

I pointed out that even from a "narrative" perspective, this doesn't help our cause. Then you endorsed his actions by saying:

if enough white men embraced him there would be fear about stepping on our toes once more

Now you're backtracking and claiming that, in spite of endorsing the shooter's actions and saying that we should be following his lead, that you're actually not promoting his actions (totally!) and you just wanted us to feel sorry for him (but we still don't have any reason to feel sorry for him).

If you really believed what you're saying, you'd already be out there shooting things up yourself. Instead, you choose to hang out here and try to convince other people to commit terrorism and blackpill them into thinking there are no other viable options. You couldn't glow any brighter.

Just to make sure that I'm understanding everyone's position here, apparently we support murdering random people because "no bad tactics, only bad targets"?

Even if we set aside any sense of morality and adopt a purely pragmatic approach, I don't see how this aids our cause at all. This story is only going to be used to restrict 2A rights and demonize White males further.

If you're some extremely angsty, misanthropic person, then I can understand the appeal of fantasizing about committing shootings. But if you choose to act on that impulse, then you're not doing anything to help other White Nats out there. If you really wanted to make a difference, there are much more efficient (and more moral) ways of doing that.

What evidence do you have that that was his motive? It looks like some of his victims were both white and male. The shooter also made a recording where he said, "I'm going to open fire on everyone in that hallway...I will try to hit as many people as I can.". So, that means he wasn't even targeting anyone specific. He just wanted to kill random people indiscriminately, without any thought of whether they deserved it or not.

And you're saying we should support this guy?....Jesus. You either have to be a fedposter or a schizo.

Let the TERFs and trannies fight each other. If we're lucky maybe some leftists will get confused about who to support and end up hating both.
