Considering how many scooters they have out there probably not. I'm sure they could though if they wanted to.

They can actually hit about 20 mph. They had to throttle their speed on the Santa Monica boardwalk because too many people were crashing them. So if it detects you going on the boardwalk it decreases the max speed to 5mph.

The scooter has GPS so that the company can track where they are. You don't rent a lime a scooter from a shop they're just laying all over the street, so if you want one you scan a QR code on the app, connect to their GPS and Bluetooth and the scooter unlocks. Then when you're done you just leave it anywhere you want and disconnect from the app and the scooter locks up.

Friend of mine did recruiter duty for awhile and there was a girl that kept taking the test and couldn't get anywhere close to whatever the minimum navy score was. She barely qualified for the army but only wanted to go navy.

My friend fired up a practice test and put C for every answer. Realized that would probably give her enough right answers to qualify. Told her this and sure enough she just managed to reach the min score.

I thought the same thing. The vast majority of countries have zero access apparently.

You don't even have to effective against them. You just need to have been a high taxpayer that used to reside full-time in the city and still maintain some connection.

People who moved out of state but kept in state residence for part time living will get constantly audited. A friend of mines father used to live in NYC, moved to Florida, but kept a residence in NYC for visiting family. He purposely makes sure to use his credit in Florida at least once a day to show proof every year when NYC claims he still lives there more than half the year.

A private scholarship outside of the school itself can be set up for anyone for any reason. You could have a scholarship for whoever has the nicest dog to showcase that year.

Jury selection is probably the most important part of the trial.

What was the chris rock joke? A guy meets his friend's girl and goes "I want to meet a girl like her." A girl meets her friend's man and goes "I want him."

The company making this also made an RPG called "Thirsty Sword Lesbians." It was released in 2022 so you know it's not about hot lesbians.

Either they're idiots that got roped into buying something cheaper in an even more expensive neighborhood and thought they lucked out. (Like people that wave inspection for discounts)

Or they knew exactly what they were doing and were planning on fighting it from the start.

They don't need her but it helps and makes their case simpler. It's just how the feds work.

She agreed to testify against SBF in exchange for a no prison plea deal. She had to pay a fine and if I remember correctly plead guilty to a felony.

The left is convinced that the only people that support RFK are right wing boomers when in reality it is just old democratic boomers who are still obsessed with "camelot".

They purposely didn't help with Afghanistan and Iraq by claiming it wouldn't look good for the Jewish state to participate.

A couple of real estate companies already announced that they are pulling out of purchase deals in NY because of this.

There will always be that one person who virtue signals by surrendering their gun to the police to prove that they will never use it accidentally in anger or some other nonsense.

Typical politician. There is the public face and then the in the office face where they are screaming at a clerk because they didn't understand the shifting goal posts and said the wrong thing to someone over an official channel.

You are correct. They already had accidental discharges and were shooting off live rounds between filming for fun. Pretty much the entire union crew walked off set and they had to bring in non union workers.

It's rather strange they weren't tried at the same time as co-defendants. It would make far more sense because then a prosecutor can hope the two defendants play each other by trying to shift blame.

The national guard being posted up is just a scare tactic, they really have no authority to do anything. A friend of mines husband was NG and basically anytime they did stuff like this (airports, subways, sports stadiums) they were told to call the cops if something happened. They weren't even allowed to keep their guns loaded.

Also it is doubly stupid to think checking bags is going to stop criminals. Criminals don't carry weapons in bags, they're in their pockets or wristbands.
