I have a lot to say and I won't say it here, but I must say:

Suck it Teenage Engineering. Not just R1 but all your overpriced gimmick hipster products.

All of it went to veteran job placement organizations. While commendable, is the type of charity where the money goes towards service based operations. Any vocational training I assume would be done thru partnerships which can also be very incestuous.

two big orgs they gave millions to Hire Heroes USA pay their CEO 350k and COO 270k. While VetJobs compensation missing either the top guys are doing it for free or the information is not available their revenue is 3.9 million while expenses are 3.5 million. Pretty much spending as much as they take in.

For the purpose of job placement for vets. I don't want to go into the logistics of it but from what I read from their pages it's job placement. VetJobs offers training but not vocational, more transitional. Again I'm assuming from the ten minutes I looked into it bulk of their expense goes to staffing.

What's my point, none really, I'm not a fan of charities to began with and charities providing services rather than goods is the ideal way to funnel money and provide jobs to some useless art major who happens to be some congressman's daughter, who'll owe you a favor.

Not calling them scams, but job placement for vets when most companies have policies and initiatives, not to mention government incentives, to hire vets, it's like hosting a summer camp for NBA players to improve their layup.

because it's two clicks and once you have an account it's one click.

And you need it for group gaming with modern people who can only use gay faggot discord.

edit: my mistake I did a quick check with some random invite, it doesn't have google or facebook sign in so yeah it's multiple clicks but once you have an account it's one click. Kinda surprised it doesn't use google sign in (whatever that's called)

It's like they'll say what non-sensical shit on twitter just to win internet points without any fucking base in reality.

His post is such a fucking L and self own as their side, the woketards, literally censor and ban mods they disagree with.

I want so badly to get on twitter and reply to these retards but I see the comments and I just don't have the mother's milk for that kind of shit anymore.

It is, I don't know the specifics but pretty sure the twist lock design was actually designed by Opinel (looked it up Marcel Opinel in 1955) and the company is French. The knock-off company is also based in France not sure where they make their knives but Opinel makes their knives in France the last I checked half a decade ago.

Doesn't make a lick of sense why they wouldn't want to showcase Opinel and sell those with Olympic branding.

Never owned an Opinel, not my style, if I want a sub $10 knife (now sub 20 thanks to Bidenomics) I get a Morakniv. Baffling good knife for the price. Or maybe because knives outside of the chinese tat category in general are overpriced? Don't know don't care.

To combat the racist fascist we must use the full might of the government to go after white people living in the boonies who may or may not even be there nor had committed any crimes I'm accusing them of.

It's Orwellian but written by a screenwriter working on a soap opera.

I remember reading a book where the author recounted two women climbing the Appalachian trail and in the designated campground was attacked, raped and murdered.

The thing is they didn't run into a man, they ran into a rapist-identifying person.

Forespoken and the rest is more or less just rehashing on past glories. (DQ, FF, SaGa, Star Ocean, and Live a Live) Seriously just doing what people expect them to do, churning out the same shit but with a bloated budget.

Don't know about woke consulting for their japanese IP, don't know, don't care.

Scariest thing I ever seen on TV was the Wire when Marlo Stanfield has his crew go target shooting and later showing their proficiency in comparison to rival gang members during a shootout.

I was like... they can show that? They shouldn't show that.

Makes a point to find Notch sporting a Picard to emphasize his baldness.

Person on the right sporting a combover with receding hairline.

Outside of shorts being to the right of the video I'm watching I didn't really notice anything either. And I'm on youtube daily.

I do have a bunch of blockers that might mess with their script so maybe that's why? Don't know don't care.

Not being able to close the shorts on the side of videos like you can on the homepage is really irritating me, might tampermonkey a script to make that go away.

I guess you're not a fan of the youtube channel QuickTimeFailure

Curious what modern games you've been playing that has QTE. I'm an indie and sim gamers so I haven't seen QTE since CoDMW days on the 360.

That's a pretty sick chaos space marine army. I see aspiring champion It'Sma'am, squad leader zipper tits and her team of seethers and heavy weapon dilators.

Imagine being so successful you bloat and woke yourself out of business. What the fuck. In a time where you got individual streamers with a small support staff, playing video games, some of them not even very well but are entertaining, and make six to eight figures a year.

Pathetic.

Wasn't going to get the game, don't have a PS5, or online subscriptions of any kind. I'm already boycutted I can't boycutt any further!

At the end of the day they don't answer to customers, they answer to Sony and Sony is cucked.

People already pointing out the hypocrisy how other mature titles like Baldur's Gate 3 has a sex scene with a bear but too much blood and skimpy clothing on a hot chick? oh lawd I'm getting the vapours!

The EverQuest server is it official or private?

I been hitting UO free shards lately. Settled on a cozy no pvp one and Outlands. Wouldn't mind getting back at old school EQ if I don't have to pay.

I can't like atm but look it up, it's like a fucking metric with charts and circle graph with attributes and they use it to make new OW2 characters. Those awful uninspired characters.

Blizzard:

The Diversity Space tool scores character designs with points for various things, from gender to race and body type.

Also Blizzard: Are we so out of touch? No, it's the gamers that are wrong.

I assume it's Sony's doing and while sucks at least the dev put out a hot chick in fantasy armor (bikini armor or whatever that style is called) in 2024. I wasn't going to buy it, don't own any modern consoles. Might get it if it ever comes on PC and just mod it.

Not saying they are confused, I'm saying they're taking it too seriously. Big corps wants to outlaw open source so I said I want to outlaw big models. and I get Ackchyuallyed. Fuck that.

-7
Jack -7 points ago +2 / -9

hurr durr let me strike that from the list of edicts for next weeks meeting with leader of states.

You do realize I have no control over the mandate of companies and nations right? And I was replying to a post about big companies trying to outlaw open source LLMs?

10
Jack 10 points ago +11 / -1

My opinion: LLM should be outlawed to big companies and capped at a certain VRAM limit.

No risk of an AI apocalypse when every AI model is running on no more than 48GB VRAM

Suck it megacorps.

Edit: as others have pointed out, I neglected to factor in the geopolitical ramification in my opinion. This is serious business, I was wrong, don't do what I suggest, it's a bad idea. 🙄

Yeah but accessible SLA been around for at least 6 years (200-300 dollar range) and GW earning report shows half a billion in sales last year.

They'll blame SLA eventually but it's not going to be SLA that kills their golden goose.

If I ever get back to the hobby, unlikely, I would either buy a budget used army and skip painting or go SLA and print a vast amount of different armies and find friends willing to play skirmishes with.
