NMS was fun to tinker with for a while but ultimately it was a shallow experience. Even long after launch, it's just a couple dozen systems mashed together with little thought to them. There's tools to build material collection including a power plant, or you can simply mix a couple ingredients in a furnace and get more than you started with. Why go through all of that effort to harvest materials when there's a simple duplication recipe?

The music streaming industry went through this 20 years ago. They learned nothing.

Nah, the people orchestrating this are lazy and incompetent. And for 2 threads 10 months apart, it's going to take a dedicated autist to notice. Which is unfortunate for them because we have those. But still, most normies are completely unaware of the manipulation.

Post election day in 2016 was another glimpse into an organic reddit. The site completely flipped that Wednesday in November. Then the day after it went back to the same insanity that had been present on Tuesday.

Quote the opposite. They want a man to pin them down. Often they'll speak up like this while hoping for a man to call them out and put them in their place.

I would support a villain using chud. And then as the plot continues it's clear their concept of a utopia is unhinged and they need to be stopped. But along the way they make several rants against working class people. Not against the concept of labor exactly, but the things that working class people enjoy and take pride in and make their toil worthwhile.

Except if the jews are over-represented in the elites they also have an out-sized ability to steal credit for notable deeds.

You know, like that "white supremacy" they keep preaching about. "White supremacy" is literally just jewish projection.

Same thing happened with "Media Matters" which was the company that turned huge portions of reddit into garbage overnight. AKA Correct the Record, Aka ShareBlue. They keep rebranding. No idea what they are now, but they proved they will manipulate social media and they have years of experience doing it.

It's the Galbrush Paradox all over again. Trannies can never be shown to be bad people, which limits the roles they can be in.

It's funny because the first time I heard the word tourist in that context it was from people trying to push female space marines and other bullshit. Literal projection.

No. This line of thinking is poison.

That didn't happen.
And if it did, it wasn't that bad.
And if it was, that's not a big deal.
And if it is, that's not my fault.
And if it was, I didn't mean it.
And if I did, you deserved it. --You are here.

Don't blame yourself. Blame the people doing this.

Egypt being in Africa is a stupid technicality. Anyone that considers Egyptian civilizations representative of Africa is an idiot.

The furries always were in gaming. They're just coming out of the closet and injecting their "lifestyle" into the games they're making and the execs aren't telling them to knock it off.

Yep. Fan translations often leave the weird cultural references intact and add a footnote to explain it. Professionals assume that will be a jarring experience and rewrite it.

ItsOkayToBeWight 3 points ago +3 / -0

What do you think a translator does? It's not just replace language A word X with language B word Y. LLMs can translate one grammar to another just fine.

What localizers do is try to replace cultural references that a different region wouldn't understand. Like if someone made a one-off Dr Seuss reference, it might not make sense to a Japanese audience and localizers will substitute that.

There's a play that's fairly popular. There's a couple catchy tunes. I don't trust Hollywood to adapt it though.

Indiana Jones 4 was supposed to be old guy teaches the new guy but we see how that played out.

Have you seen the Hunger Games movie?

The rules change 5 times in the last 5 minutes of the game. It's the perfect encapsulation of the female mindset.

Now that I think about it, if the first movie ended with a Romeo and Juliet style double suicide (the original rules remaining firm), the others movies would be set up for a perfect case of revolution.

It's a certain tribe pushing the idea hard. Women just follow whatever is "trending".
