With Atlas Shrugged - I would not bother with the films. THey are so disjointed. But do read the book.

I read everything Eddings did in the 80's and 90's but only recently read the redemption of Althalus - which whilst I loved the setup of the magic mechanics for the war I still thought was a bit juvenile in places - but I think that's because it was co-written by Leigh Eddings

I have the Book of Enoch - my biggest take away from it apart from the Ancient Alien connotations was that there are in fact 5 archangels not 4 and that any type of magic calling on the cardinals will fail unless it incorporates all 5 angels.

Don't you have Boutique Art House Cinemas there? We have quite a few in Australia that show plenty of foreign films - and also our local Industry indie films. We also have a dedicated Channel on Tv and Streaming which is remarkably good if you love foreign films. (SBS World Movies - I'm watching American Hustle on it right now)

It's one of the best series ever made - it shows the ingenuity of white males

I've personally benefited greatly from Australia's public health system. Procedures like my Triple CABG and orthopaedic surgery were fully covered, without any out-of-pocket expenses. While my wife and I initially had private health insurance, the hefty $4000 gap payment for childbirth at a private hospital led us to rely solely on the public system.

Compared to both the UK and USA, Australia's medical system shines. However, during COVID, certain policies have strained it, leading to decreased bulk billing by GPs and increased hospital wait times. Vaccine mandates have also contributed to staff shortages.

Despite these challenges, Australia's funding model, including the Medicare levy (which doesn't apply until a certain income threshold), and the National GST, ensures access to quality care for many. In essence, while I'm a staunch supporter of capitalism, I believe a semi-socialized approach to healthcare is essential, especially to prevent financial barriers from denying care to those in need. And if you don't see that you are dead inside and soulless. I bet you have no problems paying taxes for the Army. Fucking faggot

I only have NBA from American Sports - 1994 Skybox, the rest of my sport is Australian - AFL & Cricket, the rest are DC, Marvel, Star Trek, Conan and I also collect the Nintendo EReader Cards - only missing a few there.

Oh I know Bad bad Leroy Brown (baddest cat in the whole damn town?) ,so I have heard him. I know a lot of 70's songs when I hear them but for the life of me I couldn't name most of the artists. But I grew up in the 70's with a Dad who played music everywhere in the car - the bands I can recall from then though are Skyhooks, Captain and Tenille, Sweet, The Who. ELO. My mum wasn't a great influence as all she ever played was Barry Manilow and Neil Diamond. Do you know the Australian Band Cold Chisel?
We'll have to do another thread about Card Collecting - I have about 10 almost complete sets.
