More or less, yes, though there will still be "hobby" drivers who race or off-road and so on in designated areas.

nProtect GameGuard

(source) nProtect Gameguard is an anti-cheat root toolkit developed by INCA Internet. GameGuard hides the game application process, monitors the entire memory range, terminates applications defined by the game vendor and INCA Internet to be cheats (QIP for example), blocks certain calls to Direct X functions and Windows APIs, keylogs your keyboard input, and auto-updates itself to change as new possible threats surface. It's known to cause pc instability which includes common BSoDs, deletion of harmless files and drivers, such as one for gaming keyboards/mice(example: Logitech G510 and G710+), anti-virus and firewall programs.

nProtect GameGuard is not like other anticheat programs out there. If you decide to remove the game, Gameguard will stay in your system as there is no uninstall feature.

Also an informative thread on Reddit (archived) is worth a read. Giant risk.

The study seems to imply higher rates of alcohol and drug abuse which, of course, is attributed to "hostility" and "toxic social forces" about LGBTQ garbage.

It would be interesting to know the actual mortality causes though.

Yup, the golden era ended around 2004 as the Xbox/console purveyors found points of cross-over with the PC market. There was pushback and "naysayers" (who were absolutely fucking right of course), but console 'tards are the reason gaming got so stupid. One-hundred million percent. It was like watching a train wreck in slow motion.

I'd argue the golden age was 1994 to 2004.

'94 starts with games like Master of Magic, System Shock, Warcraft's: Orcs and Humans, Eye of the Beholder and Menzoberranzan, Theme Park, X-COM: UFO defense and more. It was an tremendous year for gamers, and that's just where things started for the era.

LOL, I've already got a hotter wife, I definitely don't need a Candace. But I'll say what I saw in the past, and that's what happened.

Except she was going to highlight the harassment that was fraudulent -- the Gamergate crew were faking some (if not most) of the supposed harassment in order to perpetuate their narrative, and Candace was going to uncover it. The Lefty scammers lost their minds and it became very apparent to Candace that what she believed to be true (the harassment) was just part of the larger scam that was Gamergate.

She didn't want to get "all you killed." She was just so naive she believed the narratives and was trying to be an actual do-gooder in the Left.

Oh, most of us watching really thought she was just a new face among the con artist crew, but were delighted to realize what had happened as it all fell apart.

Candace stumbled into her career without realizing what was happening. She was going to start an "online harassment" website and accidentally found herself faced down by trannies and con artist feminists involved with Gamergate because Candace was about to blow their whole scam wide open. They simply couldn't allow her to run that website -- if anyone was going to run it, it would be the Gamergate cons.

Now realizing that the Left were actually scammers who were willing to burn her down (and yes, I believe Candace was good intentioned and very naive at the time), she moved to the Right and began her career as a pundit/activist that we know today.

If I recall correctly, only 8 Federal judges have ever been removed.

Seems Youtube has been going hard at political casters in the last several days. Even Tim Poole got smacked and threatened with a potential perma-ban, purportedly.

Also, it's not like Amazon (or any Modern Audiences nonsense) is beholden to or respects the lore anyway.

Normally, I'd agree, but in this case Henry Cavil is deeply involved and, as you probably know, has some love and respect for the source material. This actually made me wonder if part of this might be an attempt to sabotage what he's doing over there.

Amanda Hamon is a garbage person and a terrible designer/author. There's no way this comes out well.

They started to go wrong in the early 90s, once they got involved with console gaming and thanks to their experience with Madden NFL games that they published. Their business practices bent during the 90s to reflect those insights, and how they could cannibalize take over targets for IP and brain power. By the time they gobbled up companies like BioWare, they had long been evil, 100%, and the rest is history.

But there was a time during the 80s that they were actually quite a good company, from a gamer's perspective.

There's something to be said for the "there is only winning" philosophy of life.
