They're literally a cultural virus. Once your immune system has been compromised, you have no defense to keep their corruption from spreading.

To put it simply, our country ironically has aids.

That was literally Uncle Blob's evil scheme to depopulate planets in 3-2-1 Penguins. And people say cartoon villains are unrealistic....

They HAD mascots. Crash and Spryo and Spike. Sly and Ratchet and Jak. The problem is they didn't treat the franchises like things worth maintaining and let them go to waste, or slip through their fingers. It's sad, really.

It's all magic spells to them. They only think of words by their connotations and not their actual meanings.

Sorry to be that guy, but anonymous means not having a name. I have a name here, even if it's not my real one. The dilution of language is a pet peeve of mine, especially in this day and age.

I appreciate the sentiment though, and you are absolutely correct about everything else. It's degeneracy all the way down.

It's a sad thing, really. I hope that the comments about him finding Jesus were legit. But in the end, that's between him and God.

Really, I'm surprised we don't hear more about the diseased lifestyles these people are putting themselves through. I know Monkey Pox got memory holed once the dogs started getting it, but surely they can't obscure the consequences of degeneracy forever.

I'm almost tempted to buy some, just for the inevitable buyout or what have you.

Hail, hail Robonia! A country I didn't make up!

My dad had some interesting insights into this as a retired Methodist pastor. Fun fact. In order to get this result, there was a suspicious delay of inviting the African delegations so they couldn't attend in time. Historically, they've always voted conservatively. How racist can you get? As I say, thank God for North Katanga....

They also cut off the option to secede once they got the vote. The one that was graciously put in place for THEM in case the vote didn't go their way. Vipers and scorpions, the lot of them.

This whole thing feels like one of those bits in cartoons where people are obviously acting out a pre-planned skit to try and fool someone.

As a Christian, I'm always skeptical of people who insist that prophecy always has to be taken 100% literally. As though God doesn't love His metaphors and parables when explaining things to us. People who think they can force His hand by playing Magic Spells: Gargoyles Edition are even shadier.

It was only mandatory on a handful of bosses, either ones that had you working to expose their weakpoint anyway, like the weird mollusk thing in the water area, or against the Chozo warriors, and they'd automatically put you in the finisher cinematic when their HP was low enough.

I liked how Metroid Dread did it. You have a dedicated "Melee Counter" button where you can interrupt certain enemy attacks to take them out more easily. Boss fights also have these attacks where landing the timing of the counter rewards you with a short cutscene of Samus styling on the boss in some way. Except it's not just a cutscene. You've still got complete control of Samus shooting at the enemy. And there are short periods where you can't directly shoot, so it's in your interest to find those moments and use them to charge your beam for maximum DPS. It very smoothly blends the flashiness and timing based challenge of a QTE with the standard run and gun gameplay. And there aren't any blatant button prompts beyond the standard "This is a counter opportunity!" flash you've already been getting.

It's showing another culture in its natural state. That's literally it. The whole point of the "cultural appropriation" nonsense has been to make everyone too afraid to tell stories about people with different backgrounds and customs for fear of accidentally being "racist."

I've heard bad things about this series. That it puts too much focus on the stupid humans and not enough on the Echidna we're actually here to see. This seems about right.

Seriously, how egotistical do you have to be to compare yourself to a literally endangered species? It's the sheer dishonesty of it all that really sets me off.

From what I've heard, calling Vivian a man was just Beldam being insulting. and the joke is everyone else, including the narration, takes her at her word because they don't know any better.

Either way, the whole thing is stupid and I hate that it's in what is otherwise one of the best games.

Not even close. The goombas were crass and rude and Goombella sarcastically leads them on before insulting them. It's like night and day.

In the original, the goomba thugs were hitting on Goombella, and that's what sparks the conflict.

Other changes include: Everyone knowing the giant dragon Hooktail is a girl right from the start, instead of her gender reveal being a surprise at the end of the game. No misgendering here! And "The Shadow Sirens" being changed to "The Three Shadows." Three guesses where THAT change is going....

Of course, Mrs. Mowz still sexually assaults Mario without his consent. Because it's funny when a man gets kissed by a stranger!
