I smell a clusterfuck incoming, now don't get me wrong, I'm not such a cynical fuck that I don't think the story mode will come out fairly clean in spite of everything or at the very least it will satisfy normies. However I cannot wait to see how badly they're going to fuck up GTA Online. Rockstar have proven themselves utterly unscrupulous in the past when it comes to multiplayer, hell I'm old enough to remember playing GTA IV multiplayer ( Yes that was a thing for awhile ) and that was total shit then too really.

Will they do the bare minimum on their favourite cash cow? Possibly, I could see them re-doing the networking infrastructure potentially and fixing a lot of the problems with the matchmaking. I really do believe though they have a very real talent problem at these companies and either can barely hold onto programmers or the programmers they do have are morons who have no idea what they're doing and simply don't know how to fix things, possible DEI hires for example.

Given how disgruntled a lot of people are in the industry right now and then fact that the GTA source code did get leaked once already I would not be shocked if we see industry hires getting twitchy and start leaking things if rockstar aren't being transparent about the state of the game. Too early to make predictions yet, but there are going to be a lot of eyes on this one for obvious reasons.
