If it's any consolation, it's not just you, I have terrible luck with Linux and I build PCs no problem. Everyone says a certain Linux distro is fine and I'll inevitably find some kind of utterly broken issue on it. I've got enough shit on my plate without having to deal with some temperamental OS that keeps buggering up on me every five seconds even though I followed the basic instructions normally. Makes it extremely difficult to get work done and relax with a gaming session if you're constantly having to troubleshoot things the Linux community barely acknowledge. You having neverending issues with Linux also makes me feel better about myself.
I think that it's likely a hardware lottery situation, where depending on your build or components if there's one thing that Linux doesn't like it will simply fall over and my PC isn't even that extraordinary or weird.
Buy (or build) a decent console sized mini for <$400. Put bazzite os on it.
Run all the games. All of them. Fuck PS5 and XBOX.
Is it actually usable for a moron like me who always runs into obscure issues every time I try Linux?
Last time I tried Linux Mint there was horrible mouse acceleration and no solutions in searches.
I'm pretty sure that's just the core Linux experience.
Not having sorted out mouse drivers or settings is a pretty big nope for me.
