Futa is inherently gay, because you're focusing on a dick on a female body. You're focused on that dick where just a normal female is straight. This leads to futa on female being gay and while female x female is technically gay, it actually bends back around to not being gay because there's no dick involved. If you focus on something with a dick that isn't a male human, that's just gay brov.

Traps and Femboys are therefore gay as well, not just a meme.

The music is used during battles is all classical German fair. You've got the likes of Wagner, Mozart and Beethoven but the series really likes to use Dvořák and Mahler. There are several places where the music is appropriate.

Rimmy did a vid on the fallout

Actual playthrough Not worth playing.

Speaking of as well, 4chan /v/ asked if Beyond Skyrim was going to suffer from the same fate. I'll let these images show if there is an obvious agenda.

Depends on what mouse you want but a website to purchase it from is Newegg.com. These guys are computer wholesalers and I bought all the new parts I needed to build a new PC from them because they're that good. Primarily US based you can buy parts in different regions of the world to drop down the shipping fees.

The thing about Melvin is they short traded the stock.

Short selling is a fairly simple concept—an investor borrows a stock, sells the stock, and then buys the stock back to return it to the lender. Short sellers are betting that the stock they sell will drop in price

For example, if an investor thinks that Tesla (TSLA) stock is overvalued at $625 per share, and is going to drop in price, the investor may "borrow" 10 shares of TSLA from their broker, who then sells it for the current market price of $625. If the stock goes down to $500, the investor could buy the 10 shares back at this price, return the shares to their broker, and net a profit of $1,250 ($6,250 - $5,000). However, if the TSLA price rises to $700, the investor would lose $750 ($6,250 - $7,000).

Now replace Tesla with Gamestop and $20 - $150

It's really gone. They've "borrowed" the stock at $20 from their broker just last week but now it's worth $150 meaning they have to pay that much for the stock itself. They've burnt through 6 billion and a 2.75 billion bailout, if the price stays like this on Friday, they simply won't have the capital to pay for the stocks and they'll have to declare bankruptcy.

I think. I'm just seeing how this plays out.

Wolf's Rain OP

God it's been years since I've watched this, hey want to watch a youtube video from 2006. The series itself is a very bleak setting in which humanity is dying under snowy conditions and it's up to 4 stray wolves to try and find 'paradise'. Don't go in expecting anything happy here, the story and it's themes though, of struggling in the face of the end, of finding purpose to give your life direction, of finding that 'Rakuen' where you can finally just rest for awhile. That's what this series is about, helped by Yoko Kanno and her guest performers it's just a wonderfully bleak series. I love it.

Outlaw Star

Fuggin Finally, Outlaw Star. Space adventures, Cat Tats and a general old school vibe to everything that makes you have a sense of fun. Recommend it, grab the uncensored blu-rays, thank me later.

Okay, now movies before I drive myself insane wit how much I've recommended. You can't complain that you don't have anything to watch now.

Actual Redline movie, surprised Funi hasn't DMCA'd it

A 2009film by Bones, it's famous for it being entirely drawn by hand. Every little detail of the dust and movement of the cars and characters is all top notch. This is just the animation studio flexing it's muscle saying, can you actually do as well as we can? Basic plot is race related and therefore it's like the classic Hollywood movies of the 80s, particularly Cannonball Run. Is absoultely worth seeing, subs or dubs, both are good.

From the same director as that, Koike Takeshi, he also made this gem, Vampire Hunter D - Bloodlust. Can also be found on Youtube as well enter text, along with the 1985 movie, that one is separate as I wanna talk about this one.

On a cold night in 2001, I watched this late that night when my parents had gone to bed, I didn't quite get what Anime was at the time but seeing this dark hunter slay vampires oh this is what made me like Anime and Mushishi just cemented it. D is a Dhampir, a half breed that travels and slays any vampire that has a price on his head. Meyer Link has recently abducted the young girl Charlotte and D therefore has to hunt him down, another group is also hunting and Meyer has himself some protection. So the end is a showdown at the castle. The book this is based on is a little more rapey but the movie is fugging solid for 20 years old, also doesn't have that. It's sweet in places. Dub is pretty good, never really heard it not dubbed. The world of Hunter D is interesting as well, it's 10,000 A.D, Vampires rose in prominence around 3,000 A.D. or so and enslaved humans for a few thousand years but then they became secretive and paranoid their society basically crumbled when most of the relocated to the moon.

Interstella 5555, why hasn't Youtube taken these down?

So 2001Daft Punk are launching their Discovery Album and they need a music video to go along with it, so they don't just make one for the likes of One More Time, they meet with Leiji Matusmoto creator of Captain Harlock, and spend 2 years together creating an hour long music video to the album. It's almost amazing to be honest because this has survived for so long and is just a good piece of art.

Sword of the Stranger

Kind of a low key movie with a simple plot but the fight scenes are totally worth it, straight out of a wuxia and perfectly animated like Bones can do. Absolutely recommended.

Mononoke-Hime Essay

What I love about this film isn't the nature vs tech relationship between the forest spirit and Iron Town, not the aggressive nature of Mononoke herself and Ashitaka trying to keep the peace, nor the entire valley falling into corruption due to human hands. It's all these things, Ashitaka heading west and ending up in the middle of a conflict between all this. The score, the art, even the dub it's all just good and the above themes I mention all play into the story. I like this better over other Ghibli movies because it's told almost like a fairy tale, of a banished prince and a feral girl. It really does hold up considering it was 97. Did you also know it early adopted 3Dgraphics, in 97, a year before Half Life and only 2 years after Doom 2. Again if you want the artbook, look it up on Sad Panda.

Time of Eve Dub

This series, first started as a 5 episode web series before Yoshiura Yasuhiro picked it up and made it a full length movie. The basic plot is a small cafe opens up in a world where it's almost impossible to distinguish humans and Androids. in this cafe, you can't ask if someone's an Android and the school protag follows Sammy there after locating her GPS data. The social implications and resulting guesses of who's an android and who isn't unfolds with the story. It's a nice little slice of life with science fiction elements, recommended.

Patema Inverted

Staying on Yoshiura Yasuhiro, his next movie was Patema inverted. Basic setting is imagine if Whitebeard used his Devil fruit and flipped the world upside down. How many people would fall into the sky, how many would be stranded in houses and need to dig into the earth to be able to live. Patema ends up travelling via balloon up enough and eventually comes across this other human who can stick to his earth but she can't. The result is a very interesting scifi drama. Give it a try.

Summer Wars Trailer

Now, Mamoru Hosoda has a thing for family, in his other movies, Wolf children and Mirai no Mirai for instance, he likes to have that as a focus. For me, Summer Wars is still my favorite. It kinda plays out like the Digimon movie (He did make it as well after all), a virus gets loose in Cyberspace and wreaks havoc on the world but here it's more than that, because everything uses OZ, it causes traffic jams, business shut downs, false phone calls to emergency services. And it's the Jinnouchi family and them pulling together around Grandma that I honestly like about the movie. Maybe i don't come from a big family but that feeling of everyone doing their part and feeling that blood bond between them, that's what I love about this movie. And koi-koi of course, no joke, took that up as a hobby because of it. It's like solitaire but with picture cards and more combos. I like it.

Marnie Trailer

Now, if you ask me what has been the best movie of the last decade, easy. When Marnie Was There. You see. Miyozaki had already retired at this point and to date this is Ghibli's last movie in the traditional style that they're known for. Most of the staff who worked on this would leave and found Studio Ponoc instead, taking the artstyle with them for Mary and the Witch`s Flower. Now Marnie is special because not only is it a beautiful swan song but the story itself. Anna going to the Marsh House and meeting Marnie, who gives her the confidence to deepen their relationship. Once you know the twist to the story, yeah it's kinda obvious but still, the soundtrack, character designs, locations and voices are all just top quality and the adapted story is lovely. Give it was watch, easy recommend.

Fuuuuuug. That's it. I've got more things I can recommend but for me I'm happy with these ones. Pick something and enjoy.

Edit: 5,776 words in my posts with 31,315 characters. Hah.

Not done yet, even though it's late. About a dozen more, then movies and I can rest. I also want to say that if you're ever interested in anime artbooks, like production materials or something likethis for Last Exile, look on Exhentai/sad panda. Yes, yes I know it's porn and all but if you trawl $Artbook for something like this. Yeah it's in Japanese but it's the art you want, the character designs even if you can't understand the words.

Dennou Coil OP

Dennou Coil is an interesting little anime. Imagine instead of smartphones, google glasses became the main communication device and the world and the internet are very close to each other. In a small town in the country, the internet leaks glitches that the local cable company hasn't fixed. A small group of kids use chalk to draw runic patterns that allow them to interface with the glitches and bend the digital world to their will. This usually results in fights but it's all in good fun. The plot starts out innocent enough and the characters don't realize the danger they're in but things to ramp up and it stays consistent throughout. A good solid anime about kid characters, couldn't ask for me.

Aria the Animation

Aria is a series that just doesn't seem to disappear but honestly, I don't mind. Having a few seasons and the occasional OVA. There's a new OVA coming out soon that I'm eager to see. Originally started as a Manga, when it was adapted for the first anime, the creator actually kept the manga going, incorporating the ending of that into the anime. The basic story is about 300 years in the future Mars has been terraformed into a habital planet and is mostly known as Aqua now for it's many blue seas. The story takes place in Neo-Venezia, a 1 for 1 copy of Venice back on earth. it follows the daily goings on of Akari, an Undine or Gondoleer for the Aria Company. It's a seriously mellow slice of life that makes you just want to relax. All the characters are great, even Athena who's both Seiyuu's, her normal voice and singing voice have both died, so in Avenniere they have her singing. Ah, the music. It's all classic Italian mediterranean songs and you can just imagine yourself by the sea. Grab Aria "The Box" if you want the complete soundtracks from the 3 mainline series. As for watching order, go by release date. But yes, it's good. Really good.

If I end up in Neo-Venezia in my afterlife, I'll consider it a good place.

Black Lagoon Shootout

I could just leave that video up there as my entire thoughts on this but here we go. It's a good series, bloody good dub as well, considering this was 06 when it was originally recorded and It's a Canadian production instead of the usual Funi I think which makes it even better. God I love Balalaika's voice. But anyway, there's two seasons and Roberta's Blood Trail, 5 ep OVA that's worth watching as well, the author took a few years in Hiatus but has returned as of a few months ago, so there's that. Yes watch it, good violence and story married perfectly.

Samurai Champloo

So after Watanabe made Bebop, how do you follow up the Jazz and space combo? You go Rap and Samurai. And surprisingly, it works. If you've ever seen Boondocks the "Blind Nigga Samurai" part was directly inspired by this show. Describing individual episodes really isn't this show's strength as they sort of flow into one another, rather it's the journey through them that matters. So give it a watch, worthwhile. Dub is decent as well.

Ghost Stories Dub

I love this Dub. The plot of Ghost Stories is quite generic, girl lets loose an evil spirit that takes the form of a cat, mother wrote a book of the things that were summoned and she and her friends have to try and seal them back up. What separates this from a boring 5/10 to a hilarious 8/10 is the English Dub. There's another version of the English dub that's proper, but the comedic one contains alot of 2001 references, even stuff like Bruce Jenner, bombing abortions clinics and inappropriate humor like that. It's refreshing in the PC era we live in. This dub also got official approval from the company, even if they didn't understand it. It's also about 5-8 years before abridged series became a thing so it's a trendsetter. Watch it, it's just funny as it is uncouth.

Area 88 1980s OVA

2004 Part

Right, Two different adaptations and I'd get flak if I didn't include the 1980s one. This is a series dating back to 85 and the basic plot of both is that Shin Kazuma, the guy with hair covering one part of his face, a former commercial airline pilot is tricked into signing a 3 year combat deal with a mercenary company. He gets transferred to the battlezone and basically Ace Combats it up in-order to A, pay off the 1.5 million cancel clause on the contract or try and get a plane that run from the base, but good luck considering that it's 1000km to anywhere that isn't desert. 1985 one was heavily inspired by Top Gun at the time and the 2004 one was probably more Ace Combat. It's a decent watch over all, the electronica from the 2004 one for example is something to hunt down and I'm surprised that the idea of needing to pay off a merc contract hasn't been made into a flight sim yet, considering how well AC and Project Wingman are doing these days.

Astro 2003 Dub

So this is the most recent adaptation of Astro apart from that god awful movie years back. What makes this one a little different is the Dub essentially turns it into a Saturday Morning cartoon, They even changed the intro so it'd fit in more. Why watch it? Astro is a bot built by Dr.Tenma, who's always urging Tobia to "Evolve", to become stronger so he goes up against people like Atlas, Pluto and the Blue Knight but through it all he's always trying to get robots and humans to work together. It's a strong pacifism angle in that Astro only attacks in self-defense and his sense of wanting people to get along tries to sway them. Like I said, Saturday Morning Cartoon. And that's okay by me, I still enjoy it despite how it's aged and how grating Astro's voice can get sometimes. Characters like Tenma make up for it though.

Haibane Renmei OP

Another forgotten classic. enter text Haibane started out as some Doujins Abe Yoshitoshi was drawing around 98. He was approached by an animation company that loved his work and over a year or two he got down the basic plot settings and characters. The basic plot is that Angel like beings are born into a town with human inhabitants, with a giant wall surrounding it and that's literally it. You can guess the metaphor at play here because this is the same creator as Lain but what's interesting about this is you follow a "Life-cycle" of a Haibane. They end up here, work in the town, stay in the Old House then get a calling to fly over the wall. Give it a watch, it's a very calming slice of life that makes you think as well.

Cromartie Trolling

Cromartie relies on the absurd but that's what makes it so good, have a Gorilla because why not, everyone looks like they're from Yakuza because why not, introduce Freddie Mercury and have him ride a horse because why not. You could have this run in the background and just listen to it and you'd still get most of the episode. The dub is pretty good as well, it's just an entertaining series with the average episode at about 15 minutes.

The Big O

So take Batman, take his suit but give him a mech, a robot AI maid that lives with him not like that and Alfred loses an eye and you have Big O. Originally ordered by Toonami I think to show on Saturday morning, the first season was popular enough to spawn a second one but Toonami went bust around then I think so the ending got horribly rushed. Still it's a decent mech anime even if you're only watching it for Dorothy.

Darker than Black OP

This one will hit close to home for a few people, as the perpetually tired protag can draw a few similarities with what's happening today. None the less it's a slightly edgy urban drama that has characters doing the odd criminal job in a city where it never stops raining. There's this heavy sense of dread over everything and everyone is trying to find their own happiness in this place, even if it gets washed away by the rain. Episodes are generally 2 parts to a single story which makes 26 episodes a good end point. There is a second series but that one's a mixed bag so it's up to you if you want to see it. They trade Tokyo for Siberia.

Yakuza bosses read Visual Novels

So My Bride is a Mermaid could be just your average Harem anime but it isn't simply because said mermaid belongs to Yakuza, especially the boss and his subordinates that want Nagasumi dead for getting close to Sun. I'll say the one thing that separates this series over others is the slap stick and jokes, it's basically a romantic comedy with more comedy than most. Subbed or dubbed is good, they all put in good performances. The anime only covers the first few volumes actually, there's like 8 to 9 in this series if you like it enough.

Scrapped Princess OP

Don't have much to say on this one unfortunately, I know it looks kind of generic but there was a reason I rated it highly and I can't remember it, which is a shame. I do promise there are dragons later in it though. That much I do remember.

Okay, not many words left, adding 3 here Noir ED

Assassin duo operating in France, Mireille is actually from Sardinia. Starts out as simple jobs but there's a deeper meaning to the name they use. Slow story but worth it.

El Cazador OP

Noir American Roadtrip version. Ellis is the one with powers this time and Nadie has to escort her north across the Rio Grande while they evade the person who's chasing them. Pretty good.

Cannan

Basically just Cannan hunting down a biological terrorist except she's got Wired Reflexes from Shadowrun so she can dodge past bullets. Is a decent small series.

Tasogare Otome X Amnesia

It's a horror romanceabout a Shota haunted by a black haired beauty that kinda wants to be his gf but also wants to move on. Is more romance than most but still has horror.

Two more next post then movies.

All these series can be found on nyaa.si by the way.

2013 OP of Yamato Original for comparison

How do you bring back a series that been a figure of space Anime since the 80s? Update the graphics, have better sound mixing, maybe add stuff to the story to make it stronger but ultimately you have a good damn homage to the original you could say this is a worth successor. I can't understate how much this 2013 lives up to the original. Basic story of Yamato if you've never heard it is the Japanese without telling the Americans rebuild the Yamato as a space faring vessel as the Earth is dying. They have a year to journey to the star system of Iscandar to retrieve a revival seed that will let earth flourish again. The creator of this series took the pride of the Imperial Japanese Navy, the Yamato, and turned that symbol of Empire pride into modern national Japanese pride with his story. The Yamato has a history beyond being a sunk battleship. It's amazing in my opinion. Highly recommended. Avoid the movie sequels, as they kind of spoil the story.

If you can get Super Robot Wars V, also recommend that for Yamato.

Thunderbolt Fantasy S2 ED Roll the Dice

Thunderbolt Fantasy struck me like a thunderbolt when I saw this scene. The story goes that Gen Uruobuchi (Madoka, Psycho-Pass) was attending a con in Taiwan and saw the traditionally puppetry offered by Pili and was so impressed that he immediately went through his contacts and wrote up Season 1 with it to be shown in Japan to spread the puppetry beyond Taiwan. Pili have been doing this stuff since the 80s and there was one movie that made it state side but Thunderbolt is their most successful property thanks to Gen. With how successful it was in Taiwan, Japanese and the rest of the world, Gen worked on 2 movies and S2 with S3 on the way now. This project has been going for 6 years now and he still wants to write for it. The music is done by the guy who did the music for Attack on Titan, so alot of WOAHs and stuff in his music. My advice is watch S1, don't drop after the first 2 episodes as it needs to set the world a bit but continue afterwards it gets better, really better. God I love this series, the physical aspect of the puppetry, the tight wuxia script, the VAs especially Shou's are all good. They show outtakes in the movies, they throw around $10k puppets to get the effects of them being thrown by a sword attack.

Houseki no Kuni OP

One of the best series of 2017 and considering this was Kemono Friends and Girls Last Tour in the same year, that should tell you how good it is. The story is Humanity has been dead. They have been for thousands of years. But still life on earth exists, in 3 forms, crustaceans in the sea, gems on the earth and Lunarians who live on the moon. The story starts with a young gem called Phos, after Phosphophyllite, who goes up to her Sensei and asks what she can do. The other gems battle the Lunarians who come to break them, gather them up and return them to the moon for some purpose. Adament Sensei tasks her with cataloging all the local wildlife and eventually she meets Cinnabar, a gem in a positions like she is. Phos promises Cinna that they'll find something they can do together and then they get attacked by Lunarians. Why this series is beautiful, is not only the use of CD3G that still holds up or the gorgeous use of lighting that makes it look like a video game, it's also the buddhist themes inherent in the story. The pain and suffering one undergoes and who you have to lose to gain, you will ultimately not be yourself pre-suffering but at the end you'll ask if it's worth it. The manga has taken a dark turn recent so watch the series first before jumping into it.

I also wanted it noted that Houseki first came out 2012, and Steven Universe came out 2013, so you're getting an uncorrupted by a certain female of ethnic persuasion and her biased views on sex. The Gems themselves are sexless, I use female on them because female seiyuus but they address themselves with Boku which is mostly used by males so the books have alot of I's and he's. It's not a mess but just thought you should know, it's a translation thing than a weird gender thing like SU has.

Gems can get flustered

Don't stuck your dick in one.

Zone of the Enders, Dolores, I, cute moment just to show you what the show is like.

2001 tie in anime for the games that were big back that. Kojima didn't work on this but he regards it as canon. Anyway, story is James Links is struggling with his family, his son and daughter see him as a drunk which he is, his wife is dead, which might be and he's stuck ferrying parts between Mars and Earth. All that changes when Dolores, the pinkest cutest mech you've ever seen comes along and tells him her creator was his dead wife. So James with his new mech, picks up a book on how to be a better father, rounds up his kids and tries to get off of earth to his ship before the authorities find Dolores and capture her. Half the series is just getting to Mars and it starts to open up there but James himself is an instantly likeable protag because he's trying to juggle so many balls at once. The dub is pretty good also for the time which good in it's own right. Not much to say, it's just a solid mech anime.

Part from Space Dandy S2E08

Space Dandy is weirdYou'll either like it, loathe it or be indifferent to it. But that episode 8... that's the one I remember even now. Because in that Dandy dies and he goes on this weird surrealist wandering journey with other creatures discussing life and death as well. It doesn't come across as faux deep to me but is meant to get you questioning stuff like Entropy, Legacy and what's after death. I find it all fascinating. Even if you only watch one episode, that's a good episode to watch.

Last Exile OP

Another adventure one but I don't think you'll mind it. The world has taken to the sky in massive airships but tech is still just post-industrial so fighting in the skies is done Musketeer style of lining up men along a broadside and having them shoot these proto-rifle-cannons at the enemy ships. The world itself is probably the biggest draw here, characters and story can get a little week but it's 10/10 world design and detail. Again, not much to say, there was a sequel in 2012 but it's unconnected as far as I know.

Lain OP

Lain has a legacy in the Anime community. A show that people recommend and remember, it just seems to stick around but to put it down to why? I'd say it's because it's a weird show even by Anime's general wackiness of standards. Lain herself spends more time in the Wired, basically the internet if it was more all encompassing but as she does, things start to mesh a little strange, at least in terms of story. It's one you should watch at least once, even if you can't remember why you keep seeing the girl with the beanie in your monitor.

Code Geass OP

Code Pants is a guilty pleasure of mine. I know people tend to dislike it cause fanservice, pizza, Suzaku spinning kick and other things but I think they belies the what makes this series so great. First off is characters, Lelouch is a tactical genius who to the point of ruthlessness will walk over those that get in his way. When something does effect him though, like with Shirley, he really takes it heavily. C.C. is always there to poke at him and to remind him of their deal but he still walks to overthrow the Britannia Empire, that's mostly the continental Americas despite the name. The plot is tight, like victorian corset breaking ribs tight, every thing brought up or minor side character like Dalton, he runs into Lelouch few eps later, helps him when the Geass gets triggered. It's amazing in just how narrow the story with with how many characters, factions and motivations the story juggles. The mechs themselves I actually like, they starts off as gen 5 Sutherlands being better than tanks but then you get specially manufactured ones for the Black Knights then gen 7 becomes the default and it's an arms race to see who can make them fly and achieve dominance first. I am biased of this series, so I'd recommend it. It's worth your time.

Continued next post.

throwaway531 6 points ago +6 / -0

Okay, time to stretch it.

I could list stuff like Baccano, Full Metal Alchemist, Bebop and the like but I'm going to assume since you're into anime you'll see them sometime eventually, I want to bring to your attention stuff that is a little more obscure. I like the adventure stuff, or stuff with good characters and story.

Spice and Wolf S1 OP

Lawrence the merchant finds a tricky, proud, slightly bothersome but ultimately intelligent and beautiful Wise Wolf Holo in his wagon. Series consists of them traveling and slowly getting to know each other and it really is a joy to watch this slow comfy series progress. On of their first adventures for instance is collecting Trenni Silver Coins as the kingdom that mints is is decreasing the Silver quality of it, making who can get enough of them and sell it back rich. Devaluing currency, where have I heard that before? Highly Recommend, S1 & S2 plus the bridging OVA. Season 3 never ever but I still hope.

Spanish Wolf AMV

Kino 2003 ED

Kino has had 2 adaptations, both good. the 2003 one is still beautiful despite it's age and the recent 2017 is a bit new but still a really good adaptation, especially the OP. The story is about a girl called Kino who travels on a talking bike called Hermes (I think is just her schizophrenia). Anyway, she dresses like a boy because if people saw she was a girl they take advantage of her. She also learnt how to use firearms from a Sensei and spends a good amount of time cleaning them. Most of the story is just her traveling between cities and the sort of stories she gets up to. Kinda laid back but is known for the Colosseum arc which is exciting.

Mushishi S2 OP

I'm biased on Mushishi. I watched it back in 2005 and it was my introduction into Anime and I think I made a pretty good choice. The 2005 series follows it's own a bit more while the 2013 series follows closely to the Manga. I want to mention that Mushishi was one of the last anime's made by Artland, who made this and LGH. The story follows Ginko, a Mushishi, who acts as a traveling doctor for Mortals who are caught up in mysterious wisp likes beings called Mushi, one Mushi could be a rain cloud that follows a certain mortal, so that mortal has to move around not only providing the outlying farms with seasonal rain but staying in one area will eventually flood it. That's just one story. Well worth your time.

Obligatory Sea of Stars for Legends of Galactic Heroes

This OVA series, 110 episodes over 4 season and 10 years distributed on old VCR taps. This series not only has that legacy of being on of the first translated with the yellow subs, it's just that fugging good even 40 years later.

The stage is the Empire, led by the decadent and corrupt Goldenbaum Dynasty is about to undergo change as a young Reinhard von Lohengramm has seized enough military support to rescue his sister from the Kaiser who took an interest in her. On the otherside of the Issalon Corridor, Yang Wen Lee is rising in prominence as an officer with the Free Planets Alliance, but while it's military is strong, it's Democratic structure has become weak and corrupt and even Yang might not be enough to turn back the might of the Empire.

The reason this anime is endorsed by /pol/ isn't because of it's obvious political themes that it leaves up to the viewer to sort out, it's endorsed because this is the very essence of a Space Opera who's creator went to great lengths to not include anything culturally Japanese into it.

There are 2 side stoies that take place before the main series. They arn't mandatory though but if you want more series and backstory, there you go. And I can't stress this enough,DO NOT watch the 2018 series. Everything has been Bishified and it's horrible.

Moribito OP

I quite like this series, not only because spear wielding warrior woman with pony tail but she frequently gets injured while looking after her charge, making you think she might not make it. The story is Balsa, a spear weilding heroine is looking for people to protect. Her master took the lives of 7 people and so far she's saved 6. She comes across a young Shota who's the prince to the local kingdom but has been thrown out of the palace by his father. She has to protect him as he has some spiritual significance and he has to grow up and become self reliant like she has. It's a decent series, if laid back. I enjoyed it. Don't let the /ss/ implications scare you off.

Should also note the same author who wrote the book on this, Uehashi Nahoko, also made Kemono no Souja Erin, a decent series about a girl who learns to tame a magical beast. It really homes in on the fact that said beast isn't your friend after she loses her fingers to it. Just a warning about that one though, it's 50 eps long but they only had enough material for about 33, so they repeat and repeat and repeat scenes over and over. It's still worth a watch in my opinion.

12 Kingdoms OP

I love this series. You know how in LOTR you can get lost in the world of Middl-Earth because of how detailed it is, how the characters interact with it and you just get transported over there. That's this anime in a nutshell. Story is that a schoolgirl named Youko gets taken by a magiclal unicorn called Keiki into the kingdoms to be the leader of Kei. Now, things start off here because Youko wasn't the only one dragged into the portal and she can speak the local language of not-chinese/japanese thanks to the sword she has but the others can't. She has to lead her occupied country of Kei against Kou and that's the reason why Keiki picked her. It was planned to have 50 episodes, the last 5 were the Black Kirin from the books but the director died before it could start, they paused to mourn and moved onto other projects, leaving the series where it rests today. Highly recommended.

Continuing on next post.

Don't use PIA, used to use it and but it got bought out by an Isle of Man company late 2019 , a company that use to make adware before rebranding as a privacy company. They also bought an israeli based VPN service that then busted for leaking data. Reddit link

Use Mullvad instead. Swedish based decentralized service that uses FreeVPN IP addresses. Can pay with Bitcoin if you're that extra paranoid.

Facebook the site is a URL, Facebook the corporation is more useful as a propaganda tool at this point due to how echo-chambers work. It'll be interesting to see how the next gen use the internet precisely because big sites like Facebook are falling out of favor for more instant messaging services like Discord and we might even go back to a 90's sort of paradigm, where search engines are curated by companies so they're useless, you talk over IM instead of Facebook or Reddit because you can't talk there for being censored. Maybe that's the direction the internet is headed in.

Just want to reiterate that Telegram is encrypted and owned by Russians, so not likely to get subpoenaed by US authorities. This also means that certain groups like furries and pedos use it because only people that have joined the server can leak it.

Witches and Warlocks, it's a good chorus but the fact it rhymes makes it better.

It's not uncommon for people in private business say Tencent to have spouses that work in the CCP, at a local province or national level. That sort of feudal intermingling is what keeps their country strong, but also very rigid.

"Paper tiger" is a literal English translation of the Chinese phrase zhilaohu. The term refers to something or someone that claims or appears to be powerful or threatening, but is actually ineffectual and unable to withstand challenge.

The reason it's kind of hard to know anything about the Chinese Economy is again Paper Tiger, they'll only publish things that make them look good and hide the true figures. That power outage is a good example of how weak their true strength is, even though Aus coal accounted for 1% of total coal used in their local electricity generation.

Example 1 Example 2 They'll use state sponsored media or just outright pay "journalists" to fabricate stories about how great they are.

But there are a few guesses you can make from articles that have come out.

Abandoning GDP goals in the midst of Corona.

China's Debt growing to 330%, almost rivaling Japan in total debt.

China's Inflation over the past 2 years has dropped to almost 0, meaning their economy is slowing but that can be argued that's in line with other Western countries.

China's Economic growth has gone from 10% of GDP in 2010, to 6% of GDP in 2019, forecast of 5% in 2020.

That summery is actually really good so I'll post it here.

Massive government spending has stoked China’s unprecedented growth over the last 30 years. Government control over major companies and the yuan’s exchange rate have generated large improvements in the Chinese economy. Its regulations on foreign businesses have helped as well. But China’s present debt-to GDP ratio is one of the highest in the world. Its domestic consumer demand is low. So, the nation relies heavily on exports. These factors are now considerably slowing growth. China’s government is facing the necessity of instituting delicate economic reforms. Such reforms include encouraging investments in China’s stock market, aggressively promoting the Made in China 2025 program, and developing innovative companies, among others. They want to prevent the possibility of another people’s revolution should a pervasive economic downshift occur.

Also

So as world demand contracts the Chinese economy feels the effects not only of lower demand, but increasing wages, costs, and welfare payments. At the same time apparent falls in Chinese production leads to lack of market optimism in the West.

Trying to find an answer on Quora that isn't a shill is hard.

So the things I would take away from this is.

  1. The IMF seems to let everyone and anyone print money and accumulate as much debt as they want with no responsibilities of paying it back.

2.China's Economy is slowing down and while there are powerful corps like Tencent and the like in country, the actual demand for consumer goods is slowing and that means core inflation is going to rise again and with 330% debt that means more money to print and devaluing the Yuan even further.

  1. The banks, state utilities and most businesses are owned or at least have some attachment to the core central CCP. If/when the economy crashes, it'll take everyone with them. Where as if another crash happened in America, they're more protected because everything is spread out.

So yeah, Paper Tiger. They produce inferior crap on the cheap but they're burning good will with stuff that happened during the pandemic, it'd make business sense to stop relying on Chinese goods but we live in clown world, so things will continue like usual and they'll still act like a dick because they can.

A decent economic article on how to starve off Chinese interest.

Aposematism is the advertising by an animal to potential predators that it is not worth attacking or eating. This unprofitability may consist of any defences which make the prey difficult to kill and eat, such as toxicity, venom, foul taste or smell, sharp spines, or aggressive nature.

There have been times where I haven't had enough money. I live pretty comfortably now because I always make sure to have a few hundred in my account just so I can pay rent and stuff but when you don't have that buffer, you do stress. One time I went shopping and my card was declined so I went to a nearby ATM, took out money from that and had enough in my wallet so I could get groceries with that. And I also grew up poor and that frame of mindset is what sticks with you. Because when I see my friend has spent 30K on a new car, I'm not really jealous because he worked hard for that I just wonder what I could do with 30K and I usually draw a blank because I have everything I need to survive now.

I dunno, it's just weird cause living that far down the hole to the point of where you're living in a condemned house, when you managed to claw yourself out and you have disposable income to spend on something or anything, you're not really sure what to do with it.
