I've read that everyone dreams, but there are those who can't remember their dreams. So, it seems to them they can't dream. Taking some time to think about remembering dreams as you fall asleep is meant to help, as is waking up during REM cycles and keeping a dream journal.
This chart doesn't prove anything except that cold deaths are more common than heat deaths. To be evidence against climate change, you'd have to show that heat deaths have not increased over time. Even that's not strong evidence, given the increasing number of people with air conditioning.
You've got the wrong branch. You've got to imagine the witches who tried to curse Donald Trump.
The modern American practice does have its roots in Christianity. The logic goes:
-
Masturbating is sinful and must be discouraged.
-
If we remove the foreskins of boys, they won't masturbate.
-
Ergo, we should remove their foreskins.
This reasoning is no longer applied, of course. Most people don't care if boys masturbate, and those who do realize circumcision won't stop them. It's something done because it's just considered normal, I imagine.
To the woman [God] said, “I will make your pains in childbearing very severe; with painful labor you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.” - Genesis 3:16
If you're not able to give birth to children, you're not a woman. Exceptions being old women and those with some kind of medical disorder.
If we accept this premise, men are guilty of murdering trillions every time they ejaculate, no matter what the circumstances. Even if you were to ejaculate only for the purposes of procreation, you would kill trillions for each sperm that survives. Ergo, men must never ejaculate.
Or, you can accept that gametes and zygotes are two different things.
