Used to use Classic Shell back in the day. Win 10's start menu has grown on me though.

Just tried Swift Search since I'd never heard of it before. It seems very similar to Everything search which I currently use. Everything is more frequently updated and has a ton more features, so check it out if Swift Search is too fast and lean and you want more bloat.

So this retarded asshole is saying she'd murder her own child just to spite the orange man? Meanwhile, you have other women out there who carry their own rape babies to term and still love them and give them a good life.

Can the next thing the SCOTUS does to anger women be throwing them on the draft list? Please?

Do you want another baby boom? Cuz you'll get another baby boom. And they'll shut up so quick about muh Roe vs Wade it'll make your head spin.

Right? And they bitch about US flags hanging around or having to take a mandatory break and recite the pledge of allegiance.

When you work an actual, valuable job you don't want people paid to do their house chores and you don't want to be one of those people. There's morale in knowing that everybody is there at least pretending to work, and knowing how easy it is for at-home workers to get paid to jerk off destroys morale.

As something of an asshole who hates goldbrickers even though it doesn't always directly affect me, it bothered me pre-pandemic when I'd see people online posting things and saying "oh I'm at work right now and I have nothing to do but spend hours posting on Reddit." And I can't help but see these types of people as the majority of those working at home and living the dream as they do even less work without any kind of supervision. They've finally came into their own and when their jobs become redundant, I bet they can't wait to transition over to UBI so they can continue their lifestyle.

But these articles always feel far-removed and alien to me, because neither myself nor anyone I know does office work. We all do machining. The constant assumptions that the country runs on office work feels like a fantasy of white collar urbanites, and their complaints over office politics feel like the hystrionics of a rich woman who can't see outside her sphere.

For the past two years I've felt like there are only dozens of us who actually had to get up and go to work consistently during the whole entire thing. I feel totally out of the loop and this as retarded a question as it gets but seriously, did people really "quarantine" and stay home for weeks/months at a time working remotely and never even have to leave their house? Or is this one of those things where when I go online I'm entering the world of "knowledge workers" where most of them do things capable of remote work and living that lifestyle?

cheeto_dust 7 points ago +7 / -0

I've yet to work a job that was capable of being done remotely (disclaimer). But since the pandemic began and it seems like so many people online were boasting about going remote, all I can think is it seems like a slippery slope. If your job can be done remotely, what's to stop it from being outsourced to another country? Do people not think about this? I never see it mentioned.

If you can do your job more efficiently lounging around your house in your pajamas after getting up whenever you felt like it, sit down at your computer now and again during Netflix breaks when you feel like it, and get things done without having to bother to go to the office for 2 years you are either really fucking important and living the 4-Hour Workweek dream or you're going to be replaced by someone much cheaper (or something such as AI) in the next few years.

Netflix is currently remaking it. Instead of Beaver Cleaver it's going to be Peener Cleaver. He's going to have two lesbian moms and Eddie Haskell is going to be a child molesting transgenderkin who takes young "Beav" under his wing when Wally ODs on opioids. Probably?

From the article:

Three 'diversity spaces' have been introduced at an underground car park in Hanau, 15 miles east of Frankfurt in Germany.

So it's only three spaces and it's underground parking? I figured they'd at least treat them to all of the parking spots on the roof with a great view of the city.

It took me a long time to even realize there was more to things than KIA2. Is there an article or page describing the relationship between the sites? Are they a lose confederation of sites working together or all under the same umbrella? Anyone have some answers or a link handy or a smug youtuber breaking things down?

Everyone knows who Will Smith is. He's been around since the 80s. Can you say the same about Miller? I'm sure if he was as notable as Smith people would likewise be outraged. From reading the article it sounds like that Miller is a real asshole and people definitely should be more bothered by his behavior, but again, do people even care about him? I'm sure any one of us could present some local piece of shit who's done much worse than Smith or Miller and the public wouldn't care because it's some random nobody.

That's a little harsh.

Do you even Walmart, bro? Could say the same about white women and latinx women and any and all groups. Seen some of the most disgusting creatures waddling through Walmart and they all have children and oftentimes screeching toddlers or babies.

This girl is 14 years old. She should be focused on school. If she was in high school it'd maybe be a little different. But I'm sure given enough time she'll find a boyfriend. Or hell, maybe instead of screeching that all the boys don't like her because they are racist, why doesn't she try dating girls, or are they all racist too? Doesn't she know sexual attraction is a spectrum and we've all got a little bit of teh gay in us? 🙄

I'm the same way, have a couple old yahoo email accounts I'll still check now and again. I'll log out and it'll show all of the clickbaity news articles. But I've noticed on some of the articles I'm stupid enough to click on they have comments again. Not sure if it's only on certain articles or what.

Another thing I've noticed is how many "news" articles on yahoo are just digests of reddit posts. Like seriously, I know we all joke about the state of the media nowadays, but how the fuck are there so many articles where someone just cherry picks reddit comments, puts them together with about 100 words of setup and then call it a day? People are making money doing that?

I think anyone who is different (for whatever reason) knows that when it's just one of you against hordes of people who are different, you are going to stick out and be a target. A single black kid in an "all white school" 🙄 will get just as much shit as a white kid in a school that's predominantly non-white. But only one will get reported in the media or ever really talked about outside of friend groups.

I think we can all learn something from your example. The worst part is that implicit lesson being taught to the children about what kind of behavior is allowed and what is not. Soon those kids will be adults and instead of teachers looking the other way and going hard on anyone who doesn't like it, it will be politicians and the media.

It's like that mindset of women who deliberately seek out abusive men and then scream for help then join up with their tormentor against the very white knights who come to their rescue, has taken over large portions of society. It's really sad people are too stupid to realize how the story always ends.

cheeto_dust 10 points ago +10 / -0

Bullshit. If this had been white kids attacking a black kid, you better believe the school would kick those white kids out regardless of where the incident took place.

Bullshit. If it had been white kids liking a picture or meme that wasn't approved on social media the school would claim it was racist/sexist/threatening and expel them and "accidentally" leak their names, their parent's names (and where they work), and their home address so that the mob could do the rest. Just look at what they did to a white kid on a field trip who smiled awkwardly while being harassed.

For all of the self-flagellation teachers and school administrators do about not having any fucking time to do their fucking jobs, they always seem to find time to monitor for thought crimes. That they aren't in this case is very suspect and obviously politically motivated.

If she really cared at all about those dead women she'd be angry as fuck that there was some rich, entitled asshole with nothing at all in the world better to do than to take up the police's time by pretending crimes happened and reporting them and then lying lying and lying some more about it to waste even more time.

I think it's very racist of her to only care about the 50 black women who have been murdered. Don't the murder victims who weren't black women deserve justice too? How are politicians able to keep their jobs when they come right out and admit they only care about victims of a certain ethnic group? If a white cop said he was more concerned about white murder victims the media would lose its shit. The same media that spends more time finger-wagging and bitching about "muh missing white women syndrome" than it does actually covering missing non-whites.

Obviously this is being played for laughs as an exaggeration of certain types of people, but this is literally how I look at them nowadays. I don't know how it's not met with ridicule today. Think about that, regular people take these kinds of people seriously in current year instead of just rolling their eyes.

if these people had been treated appropriately back then, we wouldn't have to deal with them now

See also other types of people that are now seemingly running the show and dictating public opinions in their favor.

But the left tells me Trump supporters are ignorant and stupid temporarily embarrassed millionaires and can't even find Canada on a map. Now they are sophisticated hackers coordinating assloads of money to protest tyranny in another country? Give the Canadians some credit, they stood up for themselves and it was all them.

cheeto_dust 4 points ago +4 / -0

It's kind of like during every one of those Mostly Peaceful Protests ™ during the summer of love a couple years ago they were sure to point out that no laws were being broken, no buildings were being burned, no crimes or any offenses at all being committed, but if any of that bullshit was happening it was ALL 100% people from out of town/state, honest.

cheeto_dust 2 points ago +2 / -0

But muh grab'em by the pussy! I'm sure this fucking hypocrite will get just as much scrutiny as the orange man did for his comments.

State owned as in SOCIALIST? Lefties should love them and their totally 100% unbiased reporting since a government agency would never abuse their power and authority to swing the news one way or the other for its benefit!

Wasn't there a hated political ideology back in the day where businesses were in bed with the government and had their way with the people and could essentially print money? If only there were a group of people against that political ideology instead of a masked, standing army ready to attack people who didn't like it.
