Plus, if they can normalize lab meat then it's easier to just get more and more people to eat whatever chemical slop they're calling "lab meat"

I mean, there is nothing at all suspicious about the fire. It almost certainly was set by some deranged leftist activist, and it is also blatantly obvious that there will be no real investigations (much less convictions) of this.

A decent start, now just do the other 3/4.

Why is furry art not just removed from your discord for being off-topic? No furries of any type in Helldivers (at least yet).

Weird city that seems more sci-fi than fantasy? Check

Mass Effect-esque combat instead of Dragon Age combat? Check

They chose a black protagonist and one of the companions is a black woman? Check.

They changed a bunch of the monster designs from previous games? Check

And what on earth did they do to Varric? Somehow from Inquisition to now he changed his hair style, changed his hair color, lost his earrings, grew facial hair and they have the nerve to destroy Bianca? Why even include the character if you're going to change everything about him?

Oh, wait, their game director self-identifies as a “Queerosexual Gendermancer", never mind.

Foliage artist? As in, your whole job was designing leaves and bushes and such? Thinking back to the Sony thread from earlier today, another useless job identified.

Sony Playstation chief architect Mark Cerny confirmed as an idiot who refuses to face reality then.

I can tell you exactly how to avoid a crash, potentially even among Western AAA devs.

  1. Design and make games that people want to play
  2. Do not design and make games which are boring and/or lecture people about Current Year(tm)
  3. Fire anyone incapable of contributing to step 1 or following rule 2.

Or, similar line from Lord of the Rings, "those without swords can still die on them"

Goes along with the NPC mindset. So many people are utterly incapable of anything beyond first order thinking (only thinking of the immediate consequences of their actions, not anything down the road). They were just focused on "Get Orange Man!" and the only immediate consequences are "Orange Man in jail, yay!" and "My cousin will love me for convicting Orange Man!". I doubt anyone on the jury thought beyond that at all.

ailurus 27 points ago +27 / -0

If that comment was really made by someone who spoke with a juror, yet more grounds for appeal (or in a just society, the conviction getting thrown out and everything being declared a mistrial). Jurors are specifically told not to discuss the case with anyone, and to not read or research anything related to the case. If a juror was discussing things outside the court, everything is null and void.

15 years (less, actually, not sure when they started casting Acolyte) to go from "I got the role by geeking out about what a Sith would think" to "This is the gayest star wars ever, and that's a good thing!"

Pretty sure they consider it to be "not a straight white male, and therefore better than you"

Nah, gotta disagree here. A lot of the Sierra games were not hard, they were just stupidly annoying. Hard, to me, means if you work at it and get better (I'll include both increasing player skill and character skill here) you can succeed. The King's Quest games, on the other hand, had a bunch of cases where if you missed something (including, in some cases, things that were never or barely hinted at) or if the RNG didn't like you (screw you, Dwarf, you thieving bastard) you'd softlock the game but not realize it for hours. That's not difficulty, that's just trolling.

And in the sidebar, "Daycare worker arrested after 11-month-old tests positive for cocaine in Wisconsin". Child sacrifice, or drugging <1 year olds. Society is just wonderful these days isn't it?

Well, you have to pay a ton to get the compelling story of the writer's family drama and a regal coven of lesbian witches translated into a science fiction setting!

It's the conveyor belt mechanic in particular

But what is the conveyor belt mechanic you keep referring to? I'm honestly serious here.

If you just mean "has a conveyor belt and some type of automated crafting" in it, then we're talking both Minecraft and Fallout 4, at which point there's basically no coherent discussion that can be had because they're vastly different games.

Also,

Kind of surprised that these have largely taken over the indie space and it seems it's the 'thing' right now to play.

raises further questions, because if there is some breakout trend of factorio-esque games I've seen and heard absolutely nothing about it. What games on the top 50 or top 100 games on Steam would you consider having the conveyor belt mechanic and falling into this category?

Looking at the disclose tv video evilplushi posted, there's WAY more reasons to despise the cops in this one.

  1. There's at least a dozen cops show in the video, and none of them do anything as the attacker attacks a civilian

  2. Other civilians notice what is going on, and get over there faster than the cops do

  3. Cops aren't shown to be doing anything until the civilians have subdued the attacker, at which point they go after civilians, not the attacker.

  4. The first action the cops take against the attacker is only after he has stabbed one of them

  5. In the aftermath, more cops are concerned with cuffing the civilians and looking after the cop who got stabbed than taking care of the initial victim who got stabbed (if I counted right in the video) about half a dozen times.

They don't care about anything there other than their own necks.

2/3 of nonblack democrats should be immediately fired from whatever job they have then. After all, if affirmative action is so great for everyone, then they should be first in line to get replaced by blacks.

Doesn't Scott Adams still live in the Bay area of California? If so, this really is just a performative statement.
