Because simply put, the Japanese creators mostly don't give a shit about anything outside of Japan. These are not Japanese companies making these changes, they are licensing the rights to western companies who do it for them and the Japanese get a cut no matter what. They have no reason to give a shit about western fans because they already got their money. Now that soyny owns like 90% of the western anime market there might be a shift however because now the Japanese studios are going to start feeling the monetary hurt when soyny starts trying to low ball them on license fees and demanding changes in the actual anime content rather than just censoring the anime in the west.
