Nintendo doesn't give two shits about its reputation when it comes to protecting it's IP. They will sue if they think they have a case regardless if it was the best selling game of all time.

I think it's more that he couldn't rather than he didn't. I don't think even he expected the rot to be THAT bad. The DOJ is completely compromised and needs completely rooted out.

I think that's up to the person. I find alternating days more easy to stick to because break days help me prevent burn out. It's not so hard to do an annoying thing today if I know I can slack off on it tomorrow. Even if the thing isn't that actually taxing when doing it, having that off day coming up the next day helps me keep motivated mentally.
