It won't have any effect on me either way, I can see it being useful for people who spend time away from a place where they can charge often so swapping out the batteries for new ones that haven't decayed into needing to be charged at all times would be useful.
On the other hand new restrictions means that businesses might just opt out from the market and having to change design to accommodate government interference usually results in higher costs which means either less profit per sale or higher prices which results in less overall profit for the region and more incentive to not sell there.

First Aid - Gun is more of a deterrent and if not then the one needing first aid will probably be the criminal so nothing of worth was lost anyway. Things get way messier if you have to knife fight or even fist fight someone.
Put out a fire - I know it's called a "fire"arm but it's not a fucking flamethrower nor does your arm catch on fire when you shoot....maybe if you douse it in gasoline and are using a musket
Stay calm under extreme stress - again the gun is to stop you from getting into positions of extreme stress any close range combat with deadly weapons is a lot more stressful than something involving range, especially when you have the advantage of it and the enemy does not.

True enough, though their reduced budget does show a bit. Supposedly 6 sold well so 7 (if it ever releases) might have a better budget but I worry every time that they will listen to their vocal lefty communities and censor the fuck out of it.
A full budget single player Soulcalibur (like soulcalibur 3 had) would be a dream fighting game for me.
I play a lot of Soulcalibur but I mostly play single player (with some mods to make the AI harder) and every time I try to watch a tournament it's always lefty politics from the commentators.

Fighting games DLC practice is......well it depends on the game really and it's hard to make up one's mind about it.
On the one hand we don't have to buy several full price releases just to get the new characters and stages as now they come as DLC which is way cheaper, you also don't need to buy any of the DLC to keep playing with other people (at least for the fighting games I play maps and such that might divide the community are free)
Not only that but having the roster increase is generally nice for those of us that like our more niche characters that wouldn't get into the roster unless games released with 30 character rosters.
On the other it does feel like milking your consumers.
This leads me to specific games. When I tried strive each character felt very bare bones yet I see their DLC os asking for 7€ per character.... though the game is priced at 40€
However when I compare individual DLC characters to something like SoulCalibur 6 where the DLC characters are cheaper 5-6€ and include massive move lists and special gimmicks it does feel like it's not worth buying.
Though compared to re-releasing the same game over and over again just to add 2 characters is much cheaper.
So it is a weird one when it comes to fighting games as it is cheaper than before but it still fits in the current year DLC practices but at the same time it's nowhere near as predatory as before....
I also don't know what would be a better solution for fighting games, would having to buy a new game every year really be better than DLCs ? Where I can just buy the 1 character I want ? No idea how they could fix it.
Though I guess I'll keep an eye on initial roster size. Strive specifically felt really bad for the limited character moves, smallish roster and removal of a lot of mechanics to appeal to a wider audience so I'd never pay for more characters in that one

I get having a hidden one opposite a visible one so that you can catch some one trying to hide from the visible cameras but when all of them are hidden how is a person suppose to know where they are being recorded.
