It would have been the result of a community complaint so some prude got their knickers in a twist and made a complaint, this would have caused a review and due to the classification board in Australia using different standards for games compared to other media it will get refused classification. Its possible that at the moment its just taken off stores while under review.... but I doubt it.

We responded in the thread the reason why those links were removed was because they were 404ing, and they were removed when all the 404ing links got cleaned up.
It isn't anything more than it was pointed out that half the links in the sidebar were dead, so we cleaned up the ones we could with archive versions and the ones that couldn't got removed.
If anything you could call us lazy for not finding the new links since 8chan uses a different domain as to what was originally linked.

A good chunk (55% ish) use a browser with little over 50% of that traffic being new reddit (ugh) and the rest being old.
Reddit on mobile browsers sucks, and I would guess a good portion of the traffic to that site is when people are sitting on the toilet delaying the wipe rather than people browsing it on their computer. That's just a guess but a lot of people just scroll on their phones while doing other stuff these days.

Reddit is making API changes which will kill off third party apps. Traffic to KiA is around about 40% from third party apps. This will force everyone onto the first party apps which suck. While ultimately it will do nothing and the admins will ignore it, its the only way to say "this is stupid" to them.
The API changes are explicitly not going to affect mod tools or the ban bots that are running around autobanning users for participating in subs so all this does is force people onto the first party apps. I think this eventually will lead to the death of old reddit as well.

Typically an honorary doctorate is recognition for achievements in the field. This isn't like the honorary degree crap they give to celebrities. It does give their doctorate some more initials (PhD.H) they can't call themselves a Dr though but add H.C to the end of their name.
It is sort of like recognition of prior learning but in this case its recognition that your achievements in the field elevate you enough to be recognised as doctor level (though you still aren't granted the full doctorate title)

I'm WA and we are proper fucked at the moment. At the state level the Labor government has nearly all of the lower house seats and an overwhelming majority in the upper house (because the Libs imploded after Troy Buswell kept getting blotto and doing stupid shit and they had zero talent coming through the ranks). One of the first moves Labor did was strip upper house seats from the non metro areas which are the areas that historically don't vote for them. They instituted a policy with the state theatre trust which prevented any of their locations from being used for "political" rallies and meetings (union meetings somehow were allowed but a religious seminar was deemed political), removed references to Taiwan from maps at the museum and art gallery, and these highly restrictive lockdowns and mandates (we just got boosters mandated and they haven't even finished the roll out of the double vax mandate). The big problem is that a lot of the population are all to happy to keep giving the government more power despite them showing they abuse it at every step.
