Yup, apparently saving the soul by chastising the body, whether the guy belongs to your cult or not...

Heh, the site the article references is in full defence mode.

Apparently, having doubts about the wisdom of libel as a customer relations strategy means that you are in fact the libelled author themselves, perhaps just a poorly-written alt.

Keep on living in denial guys, maybe you can get bulk rates from your solicitors...

I suppose it is a very leftie form of penance if you force somebody else to do penance for your own sins...

I can't think of any reason why they're gleefully running stories like this and not even trying to dress it up.

The only conclusion I can come to is that the media actively hates the population it sells to - I don't think this is particularly a stretch - and wants to bully them into eating food that makes them gag.

APDSmith 27 points ago +27 / -0

Sargon made a point a little while back as well ... it's about humiliation. The "bugs" in question are always depicted as if raw, the least appealing way possible to western eyes. The media want to be able to make you change your diet to something you loathe, just to prove to themselves that they have the power to do so.

I'm not sure I see things so bleakly.

Culture warriors from both sides are starting to impinge upon the centre at this point. We, honestly, come across as weird. They come across as crazy and spiteful, and every time they take the mask off - as they increasingly have to, being in normie circles - they drive people away in disgust. I suspect this is partly due to their sheer inability to bide their time. Zealous fervour and patience do not mix well.

I suspect, if anything, we'll see a backlash against us and them at the same time.

16
APDSmith 16 points ago +16 / -0

But the thing is, they are too retarded to come to that conclusion.

I don't know if I'd use "retarded" but yeah, seems people like that are determined to avoid taking any responsibility for their own lives.

I mean, apart from anything else, what person would want to go to Portland, given that it's mainly been in the news for mostly peaceful riots for the last year and a half?

10
APDSmith 10 points ago +10 / -0

I feel like they're being homogenized into a BIOPOC blender of uniformity, wiping out their heritage.

They are, but for once that's not SocJus types being overtly racist while screaming about their anti-racism to cover it.

They want to erase evereybody's history so that they can implement their feudalist-pretending-to-be-socialist utopia without anybody realising just how much worse it was than everything that came before it.

15
APDSmith 15 points ago +15 / -0

Ha, that bit at the end.

The only possible way she could have made it better was to ask if she needed to loot somewhere and burn it to the ground to count as "peaceful".

But that's probably a bit much for that forum.

Unfortunately those vets, should they be foolish enough to volunteer, would be looking at some seriously unfavourable rules of engagement.

I don't even know if Portland Police are in Antifa's pocket by this point - but we do know the Portland DA is - you touch a hair on a an Antifa guy's head and you're getting maximum sentencing and you're losing important bits of your voting rights and rights to bear arms.

And if you don't touch a hair on an Antifa guy's head? Well, maybe they'll get lucky with Andy this time. They've already had two goes at it.

Once again, the apparent argument from the left that the children belong to them, you just pay for it all.

I'm all for holding the parents responsible when they screw up, but this is presumptively asserting that a child's parents get to look after their own children only if they've good and do as they're told by the state.

Kindly piss off.

If all you can point to is a handful of cases of some serious side effect or complication, that's like 0.000001%, which isn't relevant at all.

As others have alluded to, it's insignificant so far. Vaccines are normally tested for a sufficient length of time to have a good picture of the long-term effects of the vaccine, something conspicuously lacking from this vaccine.

While I've had the vaccine myself (I'm recommended to get the 'flu vaccine annually anyway, and I'm extremely unlikely to fall pregnant) I completely understand somebody in a different situation making different choices here.

As I recall the statistics, men get more harassment overall but far less sexual harassment, so of course that's defined as the "bad" one (the ones that happen overwhelmingly to men are, presumably, character building), because we must protect the narrative!

I'm starting to think that game journalists still can't comprehend that the reasons gamergate happened are still there.

I mean, they've called us all racists over and over and over, doesn't that mean they're supposed to have won by now?

15
APDSmith 15 points ago +15 / -0

And next, we'll be charging more to epileptics, because it's distracting when they flail around like that?

(With the stance they have taken, they've left themselves no moral argument against that)

24
APDSmith 24 points ago +24 / -0

Eh, if you frame it as simply trying to avoid civil unrest, it's consistent. The blue half of the country would have burned to the ground if they'd allowed Trump to be able to address the queries.

Similarly, if you actively tell the red half that yes, you are taking their guns away, well, that's all of a sudden a very dangerous time to be an ATF guy.

Desperate to avoid giving any assessment of Biden's performance, the media has turned to a dead Senator who showed unbridled contempt for his constituents in preference.

10
APDSmith 10 points ago +10 / -0

Who could tell them that and have them actually listen?

That's the problem with SocJus - because they've decided they're on a moral crusade, even slowing down is by definition evil for them. It's why they're hegemonic - they cannot abide the existence of "evil" anywhere.

15
APDSmith 15 points ago +15 / -0

For reference, the outrageous behaviour of Nature (and other) publications:

Letters seen by The Telegraph show that last April vaccine specialists contacted several journals over concerns that structural details in the virus which looked man-made were being ignored, as well as pointing out flaws in previously published papers which suggested a natural origin.

Despite finding no fault with the analysis, Nature Medicine declined to publish the work, telling the authors that there were many other "pressing issues of public health and clinical interest that take precedence".

The Journal of Virology and the biology preprint server BioRxiv also turned down the work, even though one eminent professor told The Telegraph in confidence: "The paper seems good to me and the conclusions, whilst startling, seem valid."

So a solid "You're correct, but this factually accurate research is politically inconvenient" from the scientific literature, then.

Paging Comrade Lysenko, paging Comrade Lysenko...

He fails to understand that the postmodernism underpinning the CRT and DIE ideology he understands are untenable is a weapon specifically designed to tear the foundations out from under the classical liberalism he - and I - prefer.

17
APDSmith 17 points ago +17 / -0

Time and time again, the left has shown that even if individuals know how to compromise - normally when the ideology rams up against something they personally are unable to give up - the ideology simply unpersons that activists and carries on, if anything more shrill than before.

Put simply, as a cult-like phenomena, I'm not sure the SocJus left is capable of giving up anything, much less wants to - particularly not foundational elements of their little cult like the equity talk.

APDSmith 8 points ago +8 / -0

Diversity, Inclusion, Equity.

In other words, the foundational element of the hegemonic ideology.
