Eh, that would be a great "dream"-goal.

At the least, I think it could give good ammo to use for renewed campaigns to move back to paper ballots and improve election security. Hard to say they don't need heightened security with things like this..

That's an uphill fight either way, though. Whatever party's in power is, of course, not going to feel the need to safeguard our election process because that's what got them their wins in the first place. More worryingly, voting machines are a multi-billion dollar industry so they undoubtedly hold sway over many of our politicians, Democrat and Republican. If the rank-and-file leftists truly cared about corruption they'd want to get all-in on nixing voting machines and really pressure their legislators to do something about them, but we know it isn't actually about that, just look at what they (didn't) do during the Obama administration. I'm sure the older people here can point to decades of examples from both parties.
