I think the main distinction here is unlike the other two of porn and Hunter gather mentality, there has been a MASSIVE drought of positive male role models, especially Fathers. To the point that 'fatherless behaviour' has become a well used phrase.
Games and media like this might feel weird for Fathers like yourself, but those without gives them more of a focus of THAT is what they want it's why there has been A LOT of Anime recently with good father/ positive mid 30s male role models. Might encourage more of them to just try to make a few connections, see if there is a chance to meet a non crazy or at least loyal crazy.
