Unless he comes out and condemns the regressive left, declares the "alt-right" fictional with no group that uses said term for whatever reason actually having a legitimate claim to it, and that the false claims against the dissident right that were part of conspiracy theories regarding said fictional hate group, he will never improve.

As he likely lacks the skill to become a real journalist rather than a yellow journalist, he should just leave the business and seek different employment even if it requires going back to postsecondary.
