These people are all over the place. They desperately seek validation so they can collect virtue points for being so "in touch" and "kind," while at the same time screaming about how these people oppress others.
Any group that openly advocates for sharia law, as the overwhelming majority in the middle-east do, are probably not rational people who deserve to be considered "victims."
There's also a big difference from the more sanitized American version of Islam most commonly practiced here to what they practice there. Even then, there are still a large amount here who believe in sharia as well.
