It includes the lady who runs the coronavirus bat lab in wuhan. I have no idea why.

TerpenoidTester 26 points ago +26 / -0

That's how difficult it is to find powerful women who don't:

A. Hate other women.

B. Fucked some rich guy then divorced him for all his money.

Women who got to where they are by skill can't stand the women who are put in place for their gender.

It's so amusing to watch.

ernsithe 10 points ago +11 / -1

It's not that hard but they're obviously not going to include conservative women either.

TheImpossible1 22 points ago +23 / -1

They tried to kill us?

TentElephant 12 points ago +12 / -0

They should include her sidekick Patient Zero, aka Huang Yan Ling

coke501 2 points ago +2 / -0

Name one single person that had more influence on the whole planet than her.

[EDIT] in the last 20 years[/EDIT]

Norenia 33 points ago +34 / -1

Let me guess, none of them conservative? Hell, AOC hasn’t done shit to be recognized for, she’s literally just a loudmouth sack of bullshit.

cartoonericroberts 34 points ago +34 / -0

AOC is literally the empty headed bimbo that the media made Palin out to be. I can't believe anyone can listen to her talk, she sounds like a teenage girl both vocally and in terms of content.

TheImpossible1 17 points ago +19 / -2

muh debate is catcalling

novanleon 3 points ago +3 / -0

The fact that they would choose people like Talib and AOC over Condolezza Rice or Nikki Haley, minority women who are actually accomplished, says something.

cartoonericroberts 25 points ago +25 / -0

LOL at the full list. Marsha P. Johnson; that's a man, baby. Emma Gonzalez; fucking holy shit, apparently being a briefly visible media tool is enough because GUN BAD.

TheImpossible1 16 points ago +16 / -0

What's the full list?

Also, Gonzalez literally admitted to bullying the shooter.

Holy shit is that an absolute whopper of a "history is the present" sort of list. Literally just "currently famous female celebs/politicians", with two token scientists who aren't particularly famous or great contributors to human knowledge. I was expecting cliche stuff like Marie Curie or Amelia Earhart with a couple more modern politicians/activists, but this is just a bad joke!

TheImpossible1 14 points ago +16 / -2

Shi Zhengli

I thought that was a joke.

Seriously, for creating a virus that kills men far more than women...

Fucking hell.

Also, Beyoncé uses female slave labor to make her crappy products.

I love that they didn't pick anyone worth a damn though.

Marie Curie, Rosa Parks? Hell, even Amelia Earhart or one of the other "first women to do something men did decades ago."

At least they didn't pick Donna Hylton.

Hedy Lamarr and frequency-hopping is damn near a comic book plot to start with. Famous and beautiful actress works with her musician friend to create radio technology that will improve torpedoes during WWII. Is later declassified and becomes integral to cell phones, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.

A limited series about late actress and inventor Hedy Lamarr, with Gal Gadot playing the lead role, has landed at Apple.

Apparently I wasn't the only one to notice this.

Also: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grace_Hopper

almond_activator 4 points ago +4 / -0

Frequency-hopping technology that was never used in torpedoes and was reinvented from the ground up for the radio waves we use for modern communications isn't that great of an achievement. In a rational world, her name would be even more forgotten than it already is.

Admiral Hopper was quite impressive, though.

exilde 3 points ago +3 / -0

Not even good enough for the Emo Gazebo.

masked_ferret 3 points ago +3 / -0

Gonzalez is the goblin right?

LordBaltimore 10 points ago +10 / -0

"Emma Gonzalez"

Ay!! Dios mio!!

Ahaus667 18 points ago +18 / -0

Lol, might as well make Cardi B one and have her show young girls that being a whore is empowering

masked_ferret 2 points ago +2 / -0

They dont need that. That part is already done and the new normal.

TheImpossible1 15 points ago +16 / -1

I can't even think of 17 women that have stories worth writing about.

Is Andy Warhol going to be the villain of this book?

reidj 13 points ago +13 / -0

The way they drew Ruth Bader Ginsburg, she looks like a witch complete with spiderwebs on her robe.

ArtemisFoul 9 points ago +9 / -0

And Tlaib looks like a zombie, and Williams looks like... you know what, the picture is like a man-monkey hybrid, but still better than her IRL looks.

IJWTPFVG 12 points ago +12 / -0

They could have at least chosen women that accomplished things like Marie Curie or Ada Lovelace

jubyeonin 11 points ago +12 / -1

Tlaib looks like Picasso tried to draw Wario. Serena looks like a dude, so that checks out. I had no idea who Keiko Agena was, so I looked her up and she looks nothing like this. They just had a generic drawing tagged with her name. Ginsborg looks like a supervillain, so that also checks out.

They picked some of the worst possible choices. Amazin'.

Soup_Navy_Admiral 10 points ago +10 / -0

And it's a mass of current events.

There is no more history.

And it's a mass of celebrities.

There are no more heroes.

666sadfrogs 10 points ago +11 / -1

So we will have the Squad, Fauxcahontas, “Russia cost me the election” Clinton, Donna Hylton, The Immortal RBG, Cardi’s WAP, actresses, athletes, and you can’t forget the “women”

BasedOnSomething 8 points ago +8 / -0

Not that I reckon anyone here is, but it bears repeating

Stop giving money to people who hate you

OBRIENMUSTSUFFER 4 points ago +5 / -1

That drawing of Ruth Bader Ginsburg looks like something that would get you banned if you posted it in the old KIA2.

Neilcuckman666 3 points ago +4 / -1

they should just close DC down now.

Smith1980 2 points ago +2 / -0

Lots of diversity of thought I see
