OWL is the most pathetic esports brand Blizzard has ever tried to force.

And that's saying a lot when they tried to make WoW Arena a big esport.

I lived for the arena for a while and never even realized they were trying to make an eSport out of it.

I think it barely lasted two Blizzcons before they stopped trying. It was a shit show, both in terms of unbalanced unfair madness, and it was impossible to follow/narrate with the speed it usually unfolded.

It was either over in 15 seconds with a successful burst that was anti-climactic, or that failed and it was an endless turtle that nobody wanted to watch.

There was more variety than that. Somtimes there was a long minute of empty screen then 2 seconds of backstabbing.

This is depressing. You get a bunch of over-sensitive people in a gaming company in the name of diversity and then you get shit like this.

Thing is this applies to the game itself. It's very casual by some historic standards because Blizzard wanted more money a larger audience of players which also required a far more hands on approach to "infractions" amongst those players compared to things like online Halo banter.
