Most of the world already knows that news outfits have always had a bent. It's not rare to call a newspaper 'left' or 'right-of-center' in most other countries. Even the US was a pioneer in 'yellow journalism' by riling up war with Spain. The US just got spoiled with those few decades with the fairness doctrine.
News outfits don't just have a bent. They are full blown intelligence operations. The New Yorker sent out people like John Reed with a big bag of Rothschild money to agitate revolution.
Knowing what we know now, I'm willing to bet most of those "embedded" journalists were faking everything.
