Chess is such a shitty boring “sport” (can you even call it that?). Even my boy bobby fischer called it shit after he completely dominated it for years.
It’s honestly unreal how much time and effort people put into playing such a bad game. Mind blowing.
I play chess sometimes. Yeah, I don't consider it a sport but the game is complex, and that's why it remains popular to this day. You can play it for your whole life, and still not have mastered all its aspects. Speaking on whether it's a bad game, it isn't; however, some of the rules are dumb, admittedly. Many of them don't make sense. For example, if you trap the king, it's declared a draw. Imagine that -- you have the king completely surrounded, and he can't move, so it's called a draw. What? Bullshit.
There really should be a distinction between Stalemate (board state has not changed for 50 turns) and Stalemate (no valid moves can be made). The former is a standoff with no signs of adjustment, an actual stalemate, while the latter is a loss dressed up as a tie.
