Yes ... but you forget who controls Venezuelan oil, which is larger than Saudi Arabia.

Sure. As is commonly known Venezuelan crude oil is of fairly shitty quality and there aren't that many places that can refine it. Those places are already at capacity anyway and it's not like we can wiggle our fingers and more pop out of the ground.
So what is Europe going to do? They can't refine shit, they are totally dependent on imports and have basically no reserves after last winter.
This will cause immense global economic damage. And don't get me wrong that's good for the most part. Globalism is monstrous and only the fortress economies will shrug off the effects. But we aren't one.
LOL, you think Trump gives a fuck? America is already energy independent. The Venezuelan oil allows us to stack the reserves as a hedge against the market. My point, as before, is that we're insulated from any "immense global economic" anything.

That's a pretty naive take. The US is energy independent, but financially intertwined. GCC countries hold some of the largest investment capitals in the world, and they have highly invested in the AI bubble and the US stock market in general. If Iran keeps blockading the strait of Hormuz and targeting their oil infrastructure, they will remove hundreds of billions of dollars from the US economy both as a pressure towards the US and as a way to eventually recover.
I don't think he gives a fuck. I don't think I give a fuck either. But us not caring doesn't mean those effects disappear. Personally I'm rooting for the collapse of the EU.
