Probably just cheap ass logos.
Cheaper to design, cheaper to make and print, etc.
Unfortunately it makes your bran look like every OTHER brand because so many brand are doing this shit. Especially the Silicon Valley fucks (see: the degeneration of web browser logos over the past 30 years).
