I wonder what would happen if there was an app for men to warn other men about red flags of women they dated.

If the only problem with the app's security was the signup process then they could have kept everything else running for existing users while they fixed that system. That's not their only problem, but that's possibly their reasoning.
How many women do you know that have been physically attacked by men? I know a handful, all of them were liars and made it up.
How many men do you know that have been financially or even socially ruined by women. At one point it was every man I know.
The problem with giving women as much freedom as they have now is their true nature is revealed and it's not pretty.
