On one hand, I do appreciate that people aren't dropping the Epstein thing, even if it's just becoming a Democrat talking point they haven't cared about before it became a wedge issue against Trunp. On the other, I suspect this might be some gay act of solidarity with Colbert: "we have a 'fuck you' contract with Paramount so we can make fun of Trump all we want!" I'll just have to wait and see what else they do this season. South Park has been spotty the last several years, most of it has just been a single hour long special per year, even after they no longer had the covid excuse to not go into full production. And I haven't rewatched an episode in even longer. At this point I'd be fine with dropping the show entirely, like I did with the Simpsons decades ago.

They did just get a new contract worth $1.5 billion to Paramount so you are more than likely correct.
