I, along with representatives of our nation, gather here on this auspicious day to give thanks to General Washington, the Hero - who, along with the Founding Fathers, broke the hegemony of the pesky redcoats. If it weren't for America, we would be forced to drive on the wrong side of the road, put unnecessary letters in our words, pay for mainstream media, have no guns and end up flooded with paki rape clans. The ideals of the Founding Fathers, the foundation of the greatest nation on earth, will be honored and protected for all time. Thus we swear solemnly, fuck yeah America.
Enjoy the fruits of liberty, Americans! Shoot some guns, grill some steaks. I hope to count myself among you in the not too distant future. Save a burger for me next year.
Oh don't worry, I am an outcast among my own people for prefering iced tea anyway. Maybe I was born in the wrong country? A trans-American, you might say.
Everything here is from somewhere else and then made American. Look up sweet tea and iced sweet tea. I know when I am in the South when I see Sweet Tea as a regular option at any gas station or food place.
Happy Independence Day to all of my American frens! For all the problems that are infecting your government (the same problems that infect my own, though I would argue that Canada is far, far more infected), your nation is still the Gold Standard as far as I am concerned when it comes to what a nation should aspire to. Too bad we don't have any American fetishist Prime Ministers up here, instead we have limp wristed, probably bisexual Chicom simps
Going to the fireworks then watching '1776' with my family as is tradition. Anyone who hasnt seen that movie should, William Daniels (Mr. Feeny) is fantastic as John Adams. A bit of boo hoo hoo guilt over the slave trade, but that scene is easily skipped and the rest of the movie is fantastic. Good songs (and I hate musicals), Howard Da Silva does an amazing job as Ben Franklin, and fairly accurate to history.
We used to watch the VHS version, which was the theatrical version. Recently I got the full version on bluray so it has been interesting watching it with my family as they are used to the shorter version.
Also my cousin in named John so we tend to use "For God's sake John, sit down!" on him often.
Recently got 2 new neighbors last year or so.. both hispanic and both do loud music parties. Neighborhood was quiet for like +25 years... these assholes play music every other week and alternate. They know city ordinance is 11pm but they do it till 11:45pm because they know itll take cops almost an hour to show up.
Anyways.. these assholes used those loud bang high flying fireworks for past 2 week..the ones that sets off car alarms. Today, some poor bastards car went off 15 times. Well anways, there is now a hill fire..
Hard to not go with stereotypes. They turning the neighborhood to the neighborhood where they came from

Stay away from my hens!
Just remember, there is no tea tax here but the tea is quite taxing.

Interestingly, the south is where a lot of English and Scots settled in the US. Maybe that has something to do with the popularity of tea down there?
There have been English and Scots all over. Every state has an Aberdeen. It gets confusing. Florida has a Dundee.

Happy Fourth to all of you all.

I love the ball busting of John Adams. Do you watch the theatrical version or the version with the 'Cool, Considerate Men' number?

You're cousin must be obnoxious and disliked.
You know that, sir.
I blew some shit up, almost injured myself in doing so, and probably broke a few safety laws along the way playing bottle rocket chicken.
As is tradition.
I'm celebrating from Tel Aviv. The real capital.
I wonder if all the illegal immigrants are celebrating independence day as well?
In the agricultural town I live in they all have signs out saying "no human being is illegal."
Then unfortunately, your town probably has a lot of CULTURAL ENRICHMENT
Lefty friends are saying it's nice to celebrate the end of a country, or that the founding fathers would be like them.
Wandering the bars as we speak.
