He is not practicing the Catholic teachings per Jesus Christ- he is speaking hateful words - Jesus Christ taught us to love all people- is Harris without sin that he can cast stones ??

https://nitter.poast.org/nursemomracecar/status/1790414040113594744#m

Love it when non-Christians attempt to use Christian teaching to manipulate Christians.

So people suddenly care about practicing, huh? I'm sure that will be quickly change once the same lens is focused elsewhere.

Insert the classic 'I have nothing but contempt for your backwards superstition but maybe if I quote half-remembered verses from its holy book, it'll make you do as I say' smuggie here.

Love is not an accomplice to sin.

A good dad loves their son; but when their son scribbles on the wall with crayons after they're told not to, that dad is going to punish them so they won't do it again. And if you message that to people who think love means to support someone in every single thing they do no matter what it is, then chances are they will mentally blue screen.

Its amazing how the word "enabling" never enters their mind.

Enabling someone's bad behavior is just as hateful as anything. I'd say its worse, because someone who feels supported will go further than someone who knows they risk losing it all.

Sometimes loving someone means to cut them loose and dry rather than enable them to further ruin themselves with your backing. If they choose their sin over your bond, then they are the loser.

A Catholic spoke to a Catholic audience about matters of faith and they lose their mind. Reminds me of the times during “pride month” when a church mildly condemns it and the media acts like this hasn’t been the stance of the church since the beginning

They want to be leftists and be Catholic so they hate anyone that points out that those 2 are incompatible.

So the NFL is okay with wife beaters, drug addicts, people who drive drunk and nearly kill people, those who had dog fighting rings who would beat to death the dogs that lost ... but this is a step too far?

I just wanted to be clear what their priorities are.

Keep in mind, he got a standing ovation from those that attended, so this is 100% people who can't just live their lives without choosing to be offended, and somehow that's everyone else's problem.

The Catholic religion needs a purge and it can start with the communist leader. The Church has lost it's way

Butker didn't go to a Catholic school. He went to Georgia Tech.

I mean the college that invited him to speak. The DEI officer in particular condemned everything he said.

If a Catholic school has a DEI officer, is it really Catholic?

My daughter chose to go to a Lutheran college. It had a professor who claimed Jesus was Muslim. Fortunately my daughter turned out OK and is now a stay at home mom.

I've not been impressed by Lutherans..

Also, Jesus is Muslim what? It IS a teaching of the Qur'an that Jesus was a prophet, the last prophet before Muhammad, and that he was born of a virgin, he was the Messiah, and he is one of the most important prophets. Islam does not acknowledge the crucifixion and resurrection. Ridiculous statement to say that "Jesus was a Muslim."

I can tell you that the Lutherans of today are not my grandmother's Lutherans.

I'll add that they, particularly those with the Missouri Synod, are deeply involved with the human trafficking at the border.

The midwest and its Scandinavian roots are highly Lutheran, which is why MN, WI, and to a lesser extent IA have so many useful idiots for the commies.

Even beyond the obvious doctrinal issues, Islam didn’t exist until 610AD.

It's very much an Islamic position that Islam has ALWAYS existed. There is a concept called the Um al-Kitab -- The Mother Book -- which is kind of like underlying truth of the universe, and the the Qur'an, The Bible, etc., reveals bits and pieces of the truth. The Qur'an is like a window to "the real." The um al-Kitab always has been, and always will be, and anyone mentioned in the Qur'an as a prophet or follower of God is part of that same tradition. Islam and Muhammad are the FINAL prophet and the FINAL revelation of this truth.

The Bible and Torah are included in these revelations, but they are partial, inferior, clouded, corrupted, compared to Islam.

It's completely Islam trying to appropriate other religious traditions' histories.

Fuck people who use graduation speeches to air political opinions. You're there to give graduates an uplifting send-off, not turn their moment into a national headline. I'm against DEI and faggotry as much as anyone else here, but a graduation speech isn't the platform to air it.

"Right wingers" no longer have the luxury of being classy. If leftists are using speeches to be political (they are and have been for decades) then so should we.

So what are they for? Giving meaningless ear baths to a bunch of ADD mouth breathers telling them how fortunate they are and how their lives will be charmed from that moment to the grave and a tombstone that glows in the dark over their decomposition?

We no longer live in that world. Maybe, someday, we'll return to it, but for now, battles for the political culture must be fought everywhere it can.
