Apart from the trans flag bikini, I think it's fine. A performance about a witch cavorting with a demon isn't that different than Lordi performing as demons, and everyone agrees that was the best Eurovision entry ever. I'd rather have subversive rock and metal entries like those than garbage like I Don't Feel Hate.
A fair, balanced take. Ireland has sent boring generic pop songs for over a decade and did terribly, so they went the other end of the spectrum and for some reason, people like it. It sounds like shite to me, but I tend to enjoy the more cheesy europop.
The last time we sent a protest act (2008), it also did terribly - a turkey puppet who is a national treasure, but failed to resonate with our friends on the continent.
