I'm going to ignore the darky and instead ask. Wtf is going on with that power armour? Not in Fallout 1 to 4 and I'll even throw in tactics has it been depicted to have a removable faceplate.
TV happened. Audiences "need" to have emotional connection to characters. Showing faces supposedly helps with that.
Whenever this gets brought up, I always refer back to Dredd (2012) with Karl Urban. He never showed his face, except for the constant scowl on the lower half, and he was still able to convey tons of emotion and subtlety. There's also lots of examples of robots and non human characters in scifi media that are able to convey quite a lot, and many of them don't even have faces.
The only thing that makes sense is that the actors are narcissists that demand their face be shown.
That probably happened precisely because of the Sly Stallone version here he did remove the helmet.
