He's definitely not dying from a heart attack or too much salt. The whole way he cooked it was entirely unnecessary. Could have just sprinkled on some salt, left it to marinate, then baked it, then seared it with butter instead of injecting it with fat like a normal human being... but I guess that wouldn't get millions of views and thousands of retards in the comment section.
If you eat more salt than your kidneys can eliminate (which varies), it will fuck you up. Probably not a heart attack but neurological symptoms due to hypernatremia are very possible
Re the water thing, while drinking a larger amount of water may not be a panacea, it's certainly not bad for you, and does help with kidney function, bladder function, etc., especially for people who are susceptible to stones.
And there are far, far worse, and far, far stupider (and more expensive!) things people could be doing than drinking water!
People who try to scare me into avoiding 90% of all things edible have yet to rationally explain to me how people like your dad can live to be 80 in the first place. I'm over the hill and I've supposedly consumed enough meat to have inoperable cancer and enough microplastics to be shitting out credit cards...yet I'm in good health.

Trust me, it’s hard to eat that much salt.
Yep. My dad has drowned every meal he's ever eaten in salt. He's 80 years old and even though he smoked for 50 of those years he's pretty healthy.
His argument always was "Don't try to regulate your salt intake, or your body will forget how to do it itself."
Consider how many millennials think they need to drink 18 glasses of water a day, and other shitty, stupid health advice.
Salt as enemy #1 is outdated and old news. Even "hippie" types have acknowledged this for some time (e.g., https://www.peoplespharmacy.com/articles/is-salt-good-or-bad-for-your-health ).
