The "defund the police" bull shit isn't about getting rid of police. It's about replacing them with a federal police force, that will do whatever the fed wants. It's also easier to get them to do horrible things when they don't know the locals. If you want an example of how that works, you can look up the Tiananmen Square massacre.
Abolish/deregulate all executive enforcement and legal prosecutions. Prosecutors should be private offices working on a state bounty system, where anyone could bring anyone else to court for criminal law violations. This will eliminate lawfare against specific "enemies of the state." At first you'd have way more trials for every little thing, but that just means we need get rid of those laws. (all laws should automatically expire anyway)
Justice systems should be locally funded and run not state/federal. Personally, I'd rather just go back to a wild west style system. Sure, might be chaotic at first but eventually there would be a turning point. People just wouldn't do stupid shit because you'd instantly be dealt with by the community.
