Shocking! A woman that looks like a woman. Or a woman that doesn’t conform to “modern standards of beauty”
It's honestly warms my heart that the "'modern standards of beauty" doesn't mean shit in the real world no matter how much they push them.
Like when I open snapchat, I don't see any fat troons pop up in the discover page where they hawk influencers. It's all attractive thin girls. Funny that.
Don't go to Ulta Beauty. (not that anyone should)
Ulta is a #GenerationEquality backer, 2022. Not sure if they renewed their pledge or not.
I agree.
I was thinking the same thing. Or I notice a lot of companies still use attractive women to sell products
I was walking in Target with my wife and said something to the effect of:
"Man, they really get the fattest, ugliest people to be models now, huh?"
I’ve seen teeth whitening or makeup commercials with attractive women.
File that phenomenon into the same folder as when two dudes are shown together on the kiss cam at a sporting event. The crowd immediately erupts in laughter. Warms my heart every time.
Post-modern, and let's not forget post-colonialist too.
True
Oh, that's a good one. I'll have to consider using that.
Coca cola ads in Poland also feature hot women. They usually go regressive once they know the pop is ready to accept it. I'd say they are at 2008 in our time.
This was the cover for issue one of the Black Widow series, drawn by J.G. Jones. For anyone who likes this sort of thing, this pic has one of the more interesting visual tricks that I've seen in comics. You can kinda see it here, but if you can get a high-enough res copy of the cover, zoom in on her left tiddy.
No, really!
Now, the whole drawing of Natasha is drawn in curves, and painted in colors that change shade/brightness for every part of her body. But, that left tiddy... the nipple bit is white and flat. It's such a tiny detail. He made that nipple look so firm and rock hard that it's warping the suit she's wearing.
...
What?
No face. It could still be a man.
(Who's the character btw?)
Some variant of Black Widow, probably Natasha Romanov based on the red hair.
At least a woman isn't getting paid, as it's just a drawing.
