Politicians gonna politician.
Any "ban tiktok" bill only needs to say:
"No Chinese company is allowed to operate in the United States unless it is majority owned & controlled by Americans."
which happens to be the exact same law the Chinese apply to 100% of American companies in China.
perfect
then another bill that says non-citizens can't own land
ban immigrants from engaging in politics until the third generation.
In fact, not only can they not own land, they have thirty days to divest themselves of their current holdings or it will be auctioned off, to individual persons only, no corporations, who have a primary residence within 80 miles of the property in question.
The tweet isn't loading for me on mobile, so I can't evaluate this. What I will say is that I'm willing to tolerate a certain amount of corruption in exchange for nuking that cancerous app from orbit. If the wokies want to jerk each other off they have plenty of platforms that aren't controlled by Winnie the Pooh.

Nuking Tik Tok based on this law is a disaster. Because it gives the US government unlimited power to shut down social media for bad to no reasons.
Oh wow. When I saw pork I thought it just meant money going to politicians' pet projects. Christ they're incompetent. How hard is it to write a bill banning Winnie the Pooh's spyware from our tech ecosystem?
